Sampled at Stone 9th Ann. party. Not bad for a pisner. Such a boring style to try and do something outstanding with. Seems that as soon as you do something great with it it turns into another style. Still tasty stuff and I would drink it anytime.

Clear pale gold pilsner, smells skunked. Thin head. The taste is a little bit bitter which is nice but also quite metallic. Not bad really, tastes much like a Mexican beer to tell you the truth. Modelo maybe. It is OK but forgettable.

One of the best Pilseners from the U.S. Nice clear yellow, lively carbonation, a foamy white head - - All of that sets you up for a crisp, tasty beer, sweet malt with solid floral hop bitterness. That hopping comes out excellently in the aroma as well as in the snappy, bitter finish. This is a beer to keep on hand to get your BMC friends introduced to quality craft beers.

Really great pils...with its wonderful spritzy carbonation and rampant beading. Good hop bitterness and floral notes. Light malt sweetness under the whole thing. So very good.

12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy straw color with a bountiful white head. Aroma is of soft floral hops, with an emphasis on Saaz. Notes of grass and light malt. Flavor is very sharp with a great hop bite and finishes very clean. There is also a strong german malt backbone to it that comes out in mid swallow. This is what a true pilsner ought to taste like. Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated with a light fizziness. This is just a great refreshing knock your socks off beer. An American classic.

Original rating in april 2004. Beautiful golden body, clear with a huge rocky and foamy pure white head. Aroma is grassy, full on Saaz: spicy and flowery, herbs and bready hay. Milder than expected, but I love the saaz here or maybe it had been too long since I last smelled it. Tongue-biting body, airy, creamy, great support fom a good medium body. Malt bite early on, in a honeyish fashion, but most of the flavor development is all about the flavorful saaz that makes us believe were actually chewing on flowers and some lemon peaks. Something makes me say hallertau too, but Im no expert at picking hops used. Extremely refreshing and crisp. Wonderful beer for a hot day.
Re-tried on tap at the Gingerman (NYC) and I was very impressed once again by the fragrant hoppiness of that one. Bottles dont keep their freshness very long, but this particular pint was vibrant with floral, herbal, spicy hops that overcame the soft, biscuity malts. Immensely dry and satisfying to me hence the score bumping up.

Not the style of beer Id be inclined to reach for, but to my surprise, it was quite enjoyable. Rich golden color with a head that is thin and short-lived. Potent cut-grass, herbal aroma. The flavor is crisp, but oh, what a finish! The fizzy carbonation combined with the balanced hoppy bite make it memorable. Very nice.

Extraordinarly clear pilsner. Big, white, foamy head. Grassy, haylike aroma. Full mouthfeel despite thin, watery appearance. Down to earth on the malts and hops. Seems to be a very pure example of the style, which Im not a big fan of (but this is quite enjoyable).

Has a strong aroma almost smells like a skunk. The flavor is very good it starts out with fizz and carbonation then comes the flavors of hops, malts, and honey with a crisp finish. So far this is my favorite Pilsener

Nicely done pilsner. Pours about like an american lager... light honey color with lots of bubbles, but with a bigger head. Aroma is a little weak, hops come through. Lacing is pretty substantial. Taste is a little hoppier and more bitter (but a nice bitterness, not skunky) than most pilsners. Crisp due to high carbonation and hops bite.
