Took me a few tries before I got over the macro taste and then I realized: this doesn’t taste like a macro, the macros are diminished and mass produced versions of what this is not embarrased to be. A wonderfully yeasty and wheaty brew that is rounded out with some lovely hops. Great for a hot day and perfect with BBQ. This is the John Deere Ride-On of lawnmower beers.

A well carbonated, hazy, yellow pour. Has a small white head with light lacing. Aroma has floral hints. Mouthfeel is crisp. Flavor has a good balance of fruit and hops.

Nice yellow gold color, but I could use a bit more head. Excellent session beer and very refreshing after mowing the lawn!

Pours light gold with not much head. Aroma is light and crisp. Flavor reminds me of apple. An excellent summer beer.

FoolishMortal (990) - San Diego, California, USA - JUN 28, 2005
Cloudy yellow gold despite my best attempts to keep the yeast in the bottle. Massive foamy white head that required at least four pours. Crisp pils aroma with spicy hops. Refreshing character with Saaz hops and clean malt flavors. Some citrus fruit in the finish though. Mouthfeel is crisp, fairly dry.

Probably the second best pilsner next to Rogue. Lots of bitter ear-wax hops but not enough malt to balance. light in color and body

Standard pilsner flavour with some major bite. This is a pilsner with attitude. I’m not that big of a fan of the style, but it is very drinkable. This one has more than you normally get from a pilsner. Good, try one. Nice golden pour, loads of spicy aroma coming off, and some nice bitter bite. Good stuff.

bottle. translucent pale golden in appearance with a short-lasting frothy white head. great pilsener aroma - dusty saaz and sweet cookie dough. Perfectly drinkable! a good portion of hops and adequately bitter along with toast bread flavours. Nice balance. Lingering bitterness. I think this is an excellent example of the style when consumed fresh.

ABUSEDGOAT (2733) - California, USA - JUN 26, 2005
UPDATED: JUN 27, 2007 Clear golden bronze, large white head with decent lacing and retention. Aroma is a boatload of grassy/spicy hops with fresh bread. It’s big for a pilsner, but stays within the limits of the style. I don’t think I’d change anything... if it lacks anything it’s a ’wow factor.’

On draught at the Horse Brass in Portland, OR. Wow! Amazingly fresh aroma and flavor. Pale golden color. Really nice hop aromawith a good portion of malt. The flavor has a bit of honey. Great beer.
