Slightly hazy straw yellow pour. Fluffy head with some lace. Aroma was clean and hoppy. Hopped bitterness followed by soft malty caramel. Vegetable/herb or carotine flavours. Somewhat soapy. It was nice, but I would really like to try a fresh one. Mine was a couple of months past it's prime. Still very nice. BigSkyman007 (202) - USA - MAR 5, 2004
The best pilsner I have ever had...beautiful clear golden coloring, with a very phrothy head. Aroma nice and hoppy. Flavor dominantly very hoppy, with a hint of a spice(maybe cloves?) My first beer by this company, and it's a heck of an offering. eraserhd10 (226) - new haven, Connecticut, USA - FEB 29, 2004
A near perfect Pilsener by what is increasingly becoming my favorite brewery! It smells like a good beer right from the start! Taste is wheaty, grainy, slighly sour/bitter with a hint a spice, a bit of rice, a little, and plenty of delicious, pungent hops. Very well-balanced and very delicious! zach8270 (4022) - Henrietta, New York, USA - FEB 29, 2004
UPDATED: DEC 12, 2008 [bottle] Pours a very pale yellow with a thick and lasting white head. Aroma is a mix of citrus and a lot of hops. Initial taste is a light mix of malt and citrus with a strong hop followup and a slightly spicy finish. Yankovitch333 (612) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - FEB 25, 2004
Pours a hazy yellow with a nice white head. Nose is full of lemon zest and hops. Nice tingly mouthfeel. Light malts with lemon and hops on the tongue. Nice dry and peppery finish. This was one good pilsener!

Clear golden color with a meduim frothy white head. Light hoppy aroma. Fairly hoppy flavor, with a little malt, pepper, and yeast. A good pilsner. JCapriotti (1379) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 23, 2004
Large creamy white head, fully lasting with good lacing. Great clear yellow body. Crisp fresh aroma of slightly musty lemon, and pear. A little malt sweetness at the start and middle with some bitter lemon orange taste. Finishes with a dry bitterness. Texture is creamy and body is just right (not too light). I really liked the beer... nicely rounded taste made it enjoyable to drink. FROTHINGSLOSH (7796) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 21, 2004
UPDATED: JAN 5, 2010 Bearing in mind that I generally do not care for Pilseners my fondness of this beer stands out. ...... Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a pale yellow color with a medium sized white head. There is a crisp floral hop aroma with undertones of citrus. The flavor is initially mild with a sweet flowery taste that seems to just swirl around the tongue and provide a brief sour/malty aftertaste. One of the best pilseners I have ever tasted - but not so much as to make me much of a drinker of this style. Sturgess (173) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 19, 2004
Not one of victory's better beers...tastes like a pinecone but is really drinkable and has great tasting hoppy smoothness.cheers. Britales (56) - Cape Charles, Virginia, USA - FEB 17, 2004
Wow!! This is either #1 or #2 for the best domestic Pils that I have Tasted!! Great hop aroma, (probably Saaz, maybe Hallertau)edgy but soft at the same time.Just the nicest head that I have seen on a craft Pils! Beautiful finish, I could drink this every day and still totally enjoy it! Great job, Bill!!
