3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft @ Redcoat Tavern. Pours a pale straw yellow with a scummy white head with surprising lacing. Aroma is grassy with light citrus and flowery hops. Initial sweetness yields to significant bitterness and a long grain finish. Getting along extraordinarily well with my burger. Lovely.
12oz bottle at home. Clear yellow pour with a frothy white head. Pale malt, cereal, grassy hops, hints of citrus, ginger. Clean, peppery finish, very nice. peponi (1925) - Hannover, GERMANY - SEP 12, 2017
Aroma: carrots and tomatoes, herbs.
Appearance: hazy golden color and white head.
Taste: carrots, vegetables, malty, dry.
Palate: low body and medium carbonation.
Overall: something went really badly. balloonbuffoon (484) - - AUG 15, 2017
12floz can, BBD: 11.06.2017, ~$1.75 unit price, nonic glass. Appears straw yellow, with a head that is white and has many big bubbles. Smells like wet grass and grains characteristic for the style. Light on the palate with a floral-grain taste. Quite delectable. Rex_Remes (242) - Bonyhad, HUNGARY - AUG 6, 2017
(12oz bottle) AROMA: quite light nose, touch of German pils notes (Saaz hops), hint of malt/grain, dairy/cream, herbs/grass. APPEARANCE: nice looking beer, clear, golden yellow with a touch of Amber/orange, good carbonation, creamy white head, oily residual. TASTE: roasted malt, nuts, some chocolate and spices, some fruitiness/sweetness in the middle but follow on is dark/dry on the inner cheeks, moderate hop middle and backend, quite clean overall PALATE: light and refreshing upfront, medium body overall, crisp, clean, smooth with some lightly biting hops/bitterness, very nice feel on the mouth. OVERALL: a very good Pilsner with well balanced taste and a great mouth feel, weakness is the nose doesn’t lead you to believe that something special is on its way. A refreshing and drinkable Pils with more than enough heart and body. AcctError484550 (49) - - AUG 5, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 5, 2017 Admittedly not a fan of the style in general, but this one is so unique! Highly recommend for a summer go to as you relax and take in some rays or sit your butt on the couch. Beautiful color and aroma. Pour hard directly into pint or pilsner glass. Let foam settle, pour again. Sniff and enjoy!

Sometimes in life its nice to sip a barrel aged imperial stout by the fire with snow falling. Sometimes a nice pilsner in the sun with a bbq is equally nice this beer suits the latter perfectly. mountdad (4) - Mount Maunganui, NEW ZEALAND - JUL 17, 2017 does not count
The brewery has a special pouring recommendation for this which I tried - it takes a while!! See YouTube for a demo.
Smells fresh, hoppy and drinkable. Pours yellow with a finger of white head.
Tastes great! Very hoppy flavour but without the whack-you-on-the head IPA bitterness than is so prevalent currently. Hops are well balanced by smooth malts and a hint of sweetness. Medium bodied which reflects the 5.3% and the length is good; you can taste this long after the swallow so a good beer to have if you need to pace your intake.
Probably the best beer I have had so far this year. Unfortunately I cannot find another bottle in NZ!
