Simcoe version on tap at Capone’s.
Pours a slightly-darkened brown with an off white head and a good amount of lacing on the way down. Nose is bready malt and a good amount of citrus rind with some earthy, herbal notes as well. Taste is similar with a good amount of bitterness. Malty for the style, but more doughy than sweet. Mouthfeel is fairly light and refreshing with good bitterness levels. Good drinkability and another solid offering from the folks in Downington.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours a mostly translucent orange/copper with a medium off white head. Aroma of cereal grains, lightly toasted malt, citrusy and piney hop notes. Flavor of the same nice cereal/toasted malt character. A classic victory ale malt profile. Nice and crisp. Citra and Simcoe coming through nicely. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - NOV 5, 2010
Draft. Crystal clear amber body with off-white head. Aroma is moderately sweet, grapefruit, light orange, bread. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, some lemon, light bread. Light-medium body, some acidity, fairly crisp, quite drinkable. Quite bitter for an APA.
