On tap at World of Beer in Arlington. Aroma us of pine, resin, earth, and citrus. Taste is of pine, resin, leaves, dank. Dogbrick (13132) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAR 21, 2013
Sample at World of Beer. This beer is a clear pale amber color with a medium thin off-white head that dissipates quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of hops, tropical fruit and sweet malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hops aftertaste. Decent overall. tricyclist (1125) - Florida, USA - OCT 9, 2012
Snifter pour. Deep amber with full finger white head. Aroma is hopped healthy, citrus, orange more than lemon or grapefruit, mild malt notes. Flavor is bold hops with mild malt sweetness. Not overbearing, but a stronger backbone in hops than some. Medium body with light lacing if any. Not bad, but not stellar. cheap (5888) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 8, 2012
At the bocktown monaca, nice place. Pale yellah with a thin creamy head. Fresh grapefruit and mate’s B.O aroma. Big bitter initially shocking flavor, but not as bad as I thought a double should be. You know, I was still able to recognize reality after a sip. Yes, a astronger ipa fer sure. Nice lacing, by the way. Too much peronality for any lager laver. Mouth coating oily finish. I am rarely impressed with any ipas. callmemickey (4549) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 12, 2012
Darker amber body, large offwhite head, good lacing. Nose is full of bitter, resinous pine needles, melon, grapefruit and other tropical fruits. Taste is similar, with an herbal-melon character dominating for me. Rounded out with other bright, bitter tropical fruits. Assertive carbonation, medium bodied, quite bitter in the finish. Overall, a bracingly good dIPA that has a nice fresh zip to it.

Draft… Pours clear light amber with a mid-sized, wispy, white head. The aroma is quite simply a tropical delight – mango, guava, pineapple, papaya – with undercurrents of resiny pine needles, biscuit and caramel. Full-bodied and lightly creamy with stinging carbonation. The flavor is chock full o’ bitterness. Biscuit, toffee and honey malts take a big-time back seat to a level of lupulin bitterness that bites firmly into my tongue and refuses to let go, well into what becomes a prolonged hop frenzy of a finish. UPDATED: JUL 3, 2012 On tap 5 oz. sample at Judges Bench in Ellicott City, MD.
Clear, straw with large ivory head and excellent lacing.
Aroma of pine sap, pineapple, pine resin and sweet caramel malt.
Taste of resin, pine, pineapple, honey, herbs and caramel malt. Bitter.
Medium body and carbonation.
A very distinctive, intense resiny flavor. Enjoyable, but not for every day. A good demo of this distinctive new hop variety. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 27, 2012
This poured a bright orange color with a white head. Aro,ma was herbal and dirty hops, and toasted malt. Taste was fairly bitter, somewhat astringent, some toasted malt, and weird saltiness. reggiedunlop (3725) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 14, 2012

Draught at TJ’s: Pungent hop aroma of hops, pine, resin, papaya, and tropical fruit. Poured amber in color with a small to medium-sized, creamy, dense, head that diminished but lasted throughout. Excellent lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet, and medium to heavily bitter. Tastes of hops, malt, pine, resin, and a hint of tropical fruit. Medium body. Dry texture. Average carbonation. Heavily bitter, hop, pine, resin finish is dry.
