Dark ruby red, looks fantastic. Taste follows suit. Very enjoyable hoppy bitter flavor. Well balanced, tons of flavor. A little bit too woody at the end for me.

From the tap came alight amber brew with a nice white head. Very distinctive grapefruit aroma and flavor with floral notes, and a mildly sweet, hoppy finish. Medium bodied an smooth. cbfobes (2883) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - MAY 8, 2013
On tap at Olympic Tavern in Rockford, pours a clear dark golden orange with a thin off white head, the aroma has quite a bit of citrus and tropical notes, the flavor has a good hop presence with a citrus front end and a malty finish, pretty nice stuff. Clear copper, thin ring of foam. Smells like a caramel covered Christmas Tree. Flavor has a lot of sweet caramel and pine, as well. As it warms, some rather unwelcome buttery notes pop up. umich03jm (3513) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - APR 23, 2013
Draft at The Oak Cafe. Pours amber with a thick creamy off-white head, leaves some nice lacing. Aroma is thick orange and grapefruit, a little musty too. Smells sugary sweet. Taste is only slightly sweet though with a strong bitterness. Orange peel and grapefruit are strong here, light floral taste. Nice malty backbone. Long bitter finish, alcohol very well hidden. Medium to thick body, creamy mouthfeel. Good stuff.

On tap: The aroma consists of heavy orange/citrus, fruit, and faint caramel. It’s a transparent amber with a small white head that leaves behind lots of webbing on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a quick dose of citrus and fruit. The finish has moderate grapefruit and some cattiness. It’s light-medium bodied with mild carbonation. Sample at The Daily Growler on 2/9/13. Pours clear amber with a medium beige head. Aroma of malt, pine and grapefruit. Flavor starts with malt and a bit of orange, then moves to piney hops before an earthy hop finish. Patrickctenchi (6589) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - MAR 4, 2013
Amber, small off-white head.
Resiny, orange marmalade aroma.
Orange sweet over pine and peel bitter.
Not bad, though onlt a little kick from the hops. Nate (4279) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 2, 2013
On tap at Benjamin’s. Nice grassy-fruity fresh hop nose. Apricot, grapefruit, sugary syrup and light caramel. Medium golden amber clear with thin foamy off-white lacing head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Starts medium sweet with caramel and brown sugar, neutral fruity character but also with notes of apricot and tons of hop flavor. Big bitter finish and lasting bitter after. The higher gravity was not apparent. Drake (13737) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 24, 2013
