I really like this. Kind of a chocolate milk Baltic porter flavor that fades into oak and a barely noticeable hint of red wine. Smooth and creamy. cheap (5856) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 25, 2013
on tap at the mad mad mex in robinson. sweet smell like volatile perfume. taste bud impressions are commencing quite strong. Brown. very little co2. some vanilla, did I say this was Baltic strong? wew, these balto style beers are always rough around the edges. this doestic really wants to move back to the Baltic states akoeninger (755) - Wisconsin, USA - OCT 25, 2013
Dark pour, thin head. Smells like a big porter, with some hints of red fruit. Tastes is roasted and deep, with a unique tarty dryness. The fruity flavor is nicely complex. This beer finishes with a roasty dryness. Interesting and not bad, probably not a beer that I would several of in a row.

Bottle pours almost black with thin tan brief head. Odd aroma of rotted prunes, oak, red wine. Taste nice blend of strong porter, mats and chocolate with oak and red wine. Finish mainly a continuation of the taste with mild oak. Full palate.Travlr (24667) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - OCT 23, 2013
Pretty good, the aroma brought down the score a bit.
Draft. Pretty much black, although it’s a bit dark in here, so it’s hard to tell. Tan head, that much I can see well enough. Aroma of cocoa powder, vanilla, latte macchiato. Taste is very roasty, with slightly sour coffee. Decent enough.

Cocoa powder dominates the aroma with some pickled cabbage type spice and dryness I’m their as well. The flavor has heavy notes of wood barrel and a floral quality that balances the chocolate in here. The mouthfeel is so refreshing for this style. It’s silky but not heavy in any way and allows me to drink the entire bottle enjoyably. If this were he last porter I ever drank, I’d still be happy. Thank you victory brewing. 2013 large bottle. portableparty (2350) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - OCT 22, 2013
750 ml bottle. Pours dark brown almost black with a thin faint wispy film and collar. Aroma has roasted malt some chocolate nuts dark fruit and subtle red wine. Taste the red wine barrels show well and enhance some nice dark fruit flavors. There is roasted malt some burnt chocolate and nuttiness. Palate is medium slick and drying with no real signs of alcohol. Really nice brew! italianjohn (3133) - Penndel, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 22, 2013
Bottle from original release so aged about a year ... Deep reddish brown pour with a thin off white head ..... aroma of red wine, oak, some chocolate malts, acidic and dark fruits (aromas are overwhelmingly red wine and oak) ..... taste is of red wine, dark fruits, very oaky, mildly acidic, some cocoa and a nice mellowed balance .... mouthfeel is real creamy and the finish is dry with a soft carbonation and a light lingering bitterness ..... abv hidden well .... this brew definitely paid off to age bob_w (373) - new york, New York, USA - OCT 20, 2013
some aged fruit notes in the nose. the room lighting is too dark to describe color. the flavor has some tartness, mild sour note, aged dark fruit. tangy vinous quality, the body... the flavor is saying light, but it actually has a medium mouthfeel. balanced with some malt. complex flavors are in balance -- nothing really overtakes the beer and drives it too hard in one direction. wlajwl (6806) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - OCT 19, 2013
Aroma is dark fruit, raspberries/fruit, coffee and toffee. The flavor is dark fruit, raspberries, mild sweetness, coffee and a mild/medium acidic/tart finish.
