Bottle shared by the generous Bill K himself at MBAS. Golden color with a small ( if any) head. Flavor tastes like a banana that fell on a dirty floor. Nice maltiness.

Ghetto-labeled bottle thanks to a contact who has a contact at the brewery. White pepper, menthol, bread, and thick Belgian yeasts in the aroma. Spices, too; the nose tells me Double Wit, but without the harsh wheaty alcohol of most examples. Very unique flavor. Starts with brine, bubble gum, and lime. Finishes with tree bark, bready malt, hops, and finally astringent phenols. Too many components, most of which don’t really fit together. It might do well with some time in the bottle.

UPDATED: JUN 5, 2008 Sampled at Dickinsonbeer’s Hoboken Gathering- Thanks to Eric. Hazy light amber in color. Aroma of- musty, phenolic belgian yeast, spices- coriander and perhaps orange peel...overall pretty essy drinking and smooth considering how high the ABV is. Spices, phenolic and moderate banana esters in the taste as well as a light honey and biscuity malt sweetness. Alcohol prevalent in the finish. Some nice floral hop character as well. Enjoyed this.

Growler, courtesy of LordMaynard. Thanks, Russ! Pours a bright, clear orange-amber color; thin off-white head with patchy lacing. Chewy bubble gum, clove, and some lime in the aroma; pleasant and chewy, though with a bit of alcohol coming through. Medium-to-full, chewy mouthfeel: some warming alcohol coming through, and yet a touch watery at the edges; bubble gum, cloves and (again) a touch of lime; generous and drinkable, but a touch warm and messy; reasonably good notes, but not focused at all. Lengthy finish: cloves, toasted malts, yeastiness; some alcohol.

Courtesy of Russ. Clear amber body with a large white head. Sugary sweet cotton candy nose with toffee, dark fruit and spice. The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter with lots of herbs, flowers, some cotton candy, banana and loads of spice. Medium/full body is heavy and dense with moderate carbonation.

argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - MAY 30, 2008
(growler, thanks LordMaynard) Medium off-white head atop clear light amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, apple, dusky, some mango, orange, clove, flower, bubblegum, banana. Taste is medium sweet, Belgian yeast, cotton candy, orange, some alcohol, light banana, clove. Medium body. Surprised that the ABV is so high.

Bottle. The beer pours out a slightly hazy amberish/orange color with a creamy off-white 2-finger head. Aroma notes are cloves, light banana, toasted malts, some floral notes...nice. The flavor starts out on the earthy side and some fruity notes slide in. Caramel and some nice hop bitterness also shows up as the beer hits its stride. Very nice beer from the guys at Victory.

Tasted at the May Northern California Beer Tasting. This Belgian strong ale pours a hazy gold amber color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is banana and clove, yeast, some spices and some funk. A medium bodied BSA. The malts are caramel and sweet. The hops are earthy. Nice balance. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Ty5592 (1018) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 28, 2008
Draft. Clear amber/orange color. Spicy light malty aroma. Nice roasted character and smoke in the flavor. Clean looking brew. Sweet and thick on the palate with clean toasted malt finish.

jeremytoni (3073) - Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA - MAY 21, 2008
From the tap poured a nice hazy amber color with a good amount of head. Nice spice flavor with a quick finish.
