On draft at Capone’s. Pours deep golden with a small white head. Aroma of toffee, fruit, and floral hops. The flavor is sweet, ctirusy fruit, toffee, and finishes with a mild hoppy bitterness. egajdzis (6692) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 23, 2007
[Draft @ Capones] Poured a dark golden color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, tangerine, vanilla, toasted dough, and toffee malts. Taste of juicy citrus, sweet, toffee malts, with husky corn, more toasty dough, and a dry finish with some light alcohol. jehoey (765) - Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 21, 2007
Terrific Maibock: aroma was full of bready cereal grains, and a subtle bit of honey. Beer was light golden in color with a dull light hint of brown. flavor was sweet and malty, with lots of cereal grains and a light spicy bitterness. Very slight note of honey. medium palate. quite enjoyable. JB175 (1665) - Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 9, 2007
Draft @ Drafting Room Spring House. Golden color with a medium head. Sweet aroma with lots of malt and honey in the nose. Taste was very sweet and had just enough hop presence to balance things out - Good Maibock! TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - MAY 9, 2007
On tap at the Drafting Room in Spring House. Pours a translucent golden orange with a foamy off white lacing head. Aroma of sweet grainy malts, actually had the aroma of walking into the Victory brew pub, hints of citrus, lightly floral with some bready malts. Flavor was bready, sweet grainy malts, light hop bitterness with a general fruitiness.

On tap at the CBC: Pours a clear deep golden with a dissipating white head. Aromas of pilsner malt abound with beautiful lofts of noble grass, perfume, and floral hops. Lots of wildflowers. The pallate is really perfect. Not nearly as sweet as many maibocks but substantative. Flavors are semi-sweet, floral, and perfectly well balanced. Finishes appatizingly dry/
This is not a beer that many here are going to like that much. It is perfectly well made, balanced and lovely, but not knock your socks off. hopdog (12953) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 7, 2007
On tap. Poured a medium golden color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas and tastes of fruitiness, honey sweetness, and a little floral. I was getting some alcohol in the finish as well. michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 5, 2007
Draught: Aroma was hard to discern because of cigarette smoke in the bar! All I could really smell was berries. Poured golden in color with no head and no lacing. Slightly sparkling. Flavor did not have much to it. Some hope notes, and also lightly fruity. Light to medium body. Soft carbonation. Sweet finish. Overall, just fair. notalush (5910) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - APR 22, 2007
Tap at Barcade - whoa, now this is a nice maibock! - crystal clear, honey-colored beer, with constant, bubbly carbonation - sweet, malty aroma, balanced out really well with soft, herbal notes and hints of wildflowers - strong honey sweetness up front, quickly tempered by herbal, almost tea-like flavors - very bright, fruity/berry notes, complimented well with a mild hop bitterness - this is followed quickly by the wildflower quality from the aroma, which combines well with the constant honey sweetness - really nicely balanced and a pleasure to drink - the best victory beer I’ve had in a long time. biz82 (1327) - austin, Texas, USA - APR 22, 2007
Bottle. Clear dark gold with slow bubbles and a loose head. Quite malty in aroma with spicy and earthy hops and a touch of yeast autolysation. The bitterness is obvious upfront which is a little surprising for the style. Malty, sweet and resinous with an herbal/spicy hop flavor. Has some light notes of peach and apricot. Finishes with a bitterness that is too rough.
