Clear deep orange beer. Aroma is smoked, bacon, ham. Malty character, small hop flavor. Taste is very balanced the smoke is not overwhelming. Nice one! boxofrane (2553) - Spring City, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 8, 2012

Pours red w/ a thin white head. Aroma is very smoky & the taste follows suit. I haven’t had many of these but the smokiness certainly dominates this beer. Interesting but possibly a 1 trick pony. reggiedunlop (3725) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 14, 2012
Pours a clear amber with a thin lt tan head. Aroma has nice smokiness with faint malty sweetness. Flavor is fairly smoky...mild medicinal note from the smokiness...and earthy bitterrness creeps in. Mouthfeel is medium and the finish is smoky/earthy...hickory note...and dry. kidmartinek (5000) - austin, Texas, USA - MAY 21, 2012
Rich gold color. Pure white head. Light smoky aroma. Flavor is light smoke, malt, and a little sweetness mixed in with a bitter finish. This is the mark for a smoked lager. Good luck hitting it.

(draught) medium copper with wispy offwhite bubbles. Nose of campfire, apple wood, caramel malt. Taste of mild smoke, well integrated, mildly spicy like a pepper, honey and well balanced for a smoke beer. Well carbonated and nice sweet linger. fluffy (2472) - St Petersburg, Florida, USA - DEC 17, 2011
Victory does it again. the nice thing here is that while its a rauchbier, its not nearly as overpoweringly smoky as some that ive had. the only complaint that i have is that between the sip and the aftertaste there is an odd metallic/chemical aftertaste, but that might have been the lines at the bar i was at. otherwise, a great smoked beer. Capa (3303) - Kitsap, Washington, USA - SEP 24, 2011
Powerful smoke, bacon, salted ham, biscuit malts, too. A fairly clean beer, meaning the not overly caramel, molasses, or fruity flavors, just biscuit malts and smoked malt. I wish I had been in the mood for a smoked because it is a very nice rauch but since I wasn’t it made a full pint nearly impossible. Good brew though. Very good.
