draft at brewery- really enjoyed this one- the smokey campfire aroma hits you big time at first- then it settles down, as does the smoke, to a perfectly appropriate element, complementing the chocolate notes of the porter very nicely. Well done. blipp (9172) - La Mesa, California, USA - MAR 29, 2011
Draft. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Smokey campfire aroma, with roast, a light sweetness, and light coffee. The flavor is roasty and smokey with a light sweetness. Good stuff. egajdzis (6502) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 29, 2010
Dark brown / black with a small, tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast, smoked malts, lactose, oats, and light cocoa. Taste of smoked wood up front, with some roast, cocoa, oats, vanilla, and a dry finish. j12601 (11045) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JUL 16, 2010
On tap at the Blind Tiger’s Victory event. Pours a deep dark black brown with a medium sized beige head which deflates steadily. Smoke, roast, toast, chocolate and coffee. Chocolate and coffee, nice carbonation, more chocolate and a hint of raisins. Lots of coffee and toast on the finish. Yummy. Dickinsonbeer (5074) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - SEP 14, 2010

On tap at the Stirling Hotel ($5.14). Clear, deep black in color with auburn hues. Slightly transparent when held up to the light. Heavy roasted aroma with slight coffee notes. Medium body, very smooth (not at all thick and chewy). Really smoky, roasted flavor with a very slight dry finish at the very end. Quite drinkable and very enjoyable. Aroma of sweet smoke and coffee. Not quite "meat" but close. Pours deep brown with tan lacing. Tastes of smokey coffee with some tobacco and dark fruit undertones. Very tasty smoked porter. afireinside96 (923) - Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 29, 2010
On draft at the brewpub. Dark brown with red highlights near the edges topped by a khaki head. The smell is fairly smoky but is very balanced in the flavor. Nice roasted and chocolate notes coming through under the smoke. Medium-full body and nice lacing. One of the better smoke beers I have had. boxofrane (2553) - Spring City, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 2, 2012
