(Bottle 35,5 cl) Lightly hazy dark brown with a small, off-white head. Malty, somewhat vinous nose. Fairly full-bodied with sweetish, roasted accents and heaps of malt. Decent all right but fails to impress. 270106 Leighton (22550) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 5, 2015

Draught, 7.8%. Sweetish fruity aroma. Cloudy dark red brown colour. Unstable head. The flavour is fruity at first. Turns nicely sweet with a hint of alcohol to balance. Good, sweet dark fruits. Spicy, almost herbal hop flavour. Clean finish. Better than many German Doppelbocks. Ratman197 (15452) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - MAR 4, 2007
Bottle poured a clear reddish brown with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of molasses, dark fruit, sweet malt and a hint of spice. Palate was medium bodied and smooth.Flavors of sweet malt, brown sugar and spice with a smooth lingering bittersweet finish. Not bad but a big dissappointment for the price.
