COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With a huge, Pacific Northwest hop aroma & character upfront, Storm King subsides into massive, roast malt complexity. More flavor than mere words can adequately describe. Rich and substantial, it will warm your heart.

I poured a 12 oz bottle into a snifter. There, the purplish black liquid raised a one-finger milk chocolate colored head that faded to adequate but not lavish lacing. Im a big fan of Victory, but usually am not keen on double stouts, so I was keen to sample this legendary beer. It turns out that my love of brewery proved the better indicator, as I found this beer highly satisfactory. A pleasant dose of grassy, tree bark-ish hops dominates the nose, and these palate-cleansing agents return in the beers finish. In between, you get espresso, bakers chocolate, roasted nut skins, and a bit of browned flour. The palate proves surprisingly light for a double stout, meaning that you can still see your toes over your belly after you finish one. If you can still see the refrigerator, you might as well go get another.

335ml bottle from local Alko, Viikki. This skilfully made brew reminds me of saying: The few who do are the envy of the many who watch. - Jim Rohn. Flawless brew.

Bottle. Opaque Black in colour. Very Malty; roasty/burnt malts, dark bitter chocolate, espresso coffee, caramel malts. Very Hoppy for an Impy Stout; citrusy and piney oily hops. Fairly big aggressive bitter citrusy hop hit which balances (nearly overpowers) the roasty/burnt malts. An Imperial Stout for hop heads. Good Impy Stout! (2010-11)

15/20 strange beer has the initial taste of an IPA, then it becomes quite complex like a stout before a chocolatey bitter finish. Unusual, weird, not sure I'd have again ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours dark brown almost black, opaque, with foamy brown head. Aroma: intense dark malts & roasted grain, supported with dark fruits esters. Flavor is similar, with intense. Roasted grain note, dark malts, which takes on coffee, bitter dark chocolate, supported with hop flavor, which takes on floral, with some spiciness. Body is full, texture almost creamy, carbonation is moderate.
