With a huge, Pacific Northwest hop aroma & character upfront, Storm King subsides into massive, roast malt complexity. More flavor than mere words can adequately describe. Rich and substantial, it will warm your heart.

A very good Imperial Stout but not sure that it warrants the 100 rating on here. Ive had better. Pours opaque black with a thin mocha head and barely a shine when held up to light. The mouthfeel struck me the most as it is grainy, sandy and roasted. This is a dark, dark beer with roasted malt and dark chocolate the predominant flavors. Coffe pervades the beer, on the front and back end. This beer is backed up nicely by subtle notes of vanilla and cream which gives it a sweeter back end that stays in the mouth in a nice way. The grainy darkness goes well with the smooth back end. This isnt a wowzer Imperial Stout but is a good beer that is light on alcohol for something so heavy. Give it a whirl.

335ml bottle from local Alko, Viikki. This skilfully made brew reminds me of saying: The few who do are the envy of the many who watch. - Jim Rohn. Flawless brew.

Bottle. Opaque Black in colour. Very Malty; roasty/burnt malts, dark bitter chocolate, espresso coffee, caramel malts. Very Hoppy for an Impy Stout; citrusy and piney oily hops. Fairly big aggressive bitter citrusy hop hit which balances (nearly overpowers) the roasty/burnt malts. An Imperial Stout for hop heads. Good Impy Stout! (2010-11)

15/20 strange beer has the initial taste of an IPA, then it becomes quite complex like a stout before a chocolatey bitter finish. Unusual, weird, not sure I'd have again ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
