COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With a huge, Pacific Northwest hop aroma & character upfront, Storm King subsides into massive, roast malt complexity. More flavor than mere words can adequately describe. Rich and substantial, it will warm your heart.

A very good Imperial Stout but not sure that it warrants the 100 rating on here. I’ve had better. Pours opaque black with a thin mocha head and barely a shine when held up to light. The mouthfeel struck me the most as it is grainy, sandy and roasted. This is a dark, dark beer with roasted malt and dark chocolate the predominant flavors. Coffe pervades the beer, on the front and back end. This beer is backed up nicely by subtle notes of vanilla and cream which gives it a sweeter back end that stays in the mouth in a nice way. The grainy darkness goes well with the smooth back end. This isn’t a wowzer Imperial Stout but is a good beer that is light on alcohol for something so heavy. Give it a whirl.

Pours near black with a decent tan head. Nose is hop forward with a good dose of floral and bitter with some stout roast in the background. Flavor is a very smooth blend of coffee, chocolate, hops, alcohol, and a little dark fruit. Finish is subtle and sticky. Very drinkable for an imperial stout.

Pours almost black, long lasting light brown head. Aroma is big rich cocoa and espresso. Hop bite, then bitter coffee, some sweeter malt notes, hints of dark fruit, dry hoppy finish. Mouthful is very smooth.

12oz bottle at home I think from Beergonzo (had it a couple weeks before "enjoying"). BB 20.05.2021. black color, small coffee-colored head. smells musty, licorice, earthy, spices. quite average smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of licorice, cardboard, bit earthy, ashy, light veggies, tobacco, some sherry. finishes medium dry and lightly bitter with notes of cardboard, licorice and tobacco. quite unpleasant, BB date would suggest its quite alright but taste horribly old.

Ragadós aromái ostyás, barna kekszes, rumos kakaókrémes jellegűek, s leginkább az első percek során valamiféle romlékony, napon hagyott csokoládébevonatos bukét is árasztanak, a komló virágszáras, erőteljes illatai azonban inkább adtak okot az aggodalmamra, a vérmes, leginkább malátaközpontú, szirupos imperial stoutok szerelmese lévén. Belekortyolva aztán majdhogynem szentségtörést követtem el, amikor egy black IPA karakterét hamarabb ismertem fel az italban, mint a címkén is feltüntetett besorolás jellemzőit, a kávés, barnacukros, folyékony csokoládés vonások azonban nyugtatólag hatottak, s malátasúly tekintetében sincs szégyenkeznivalója a sörnek, a komló számomra túlságosan is nyomuló karaktere így némileg tompítva lett, egy efféle ital esetében azonban jobb szeretem, ha egyéb benyomások kötik le a figyelmem, s az aromás komlók játékát inkább egy árnyalattal halványabb főzet kortyolása közben csodálhatom.

Poured dark, deep brown with a frothy tan head. Aroma of some roast malt and a lively hop nose. Full creamy body, flavour of smooth dark chocolate, dry lingering aftertaste with residual stickiness.

I guess I never rated this. Ok... stouty brownish-black pour, brown head, decent retention. Nose is roast, cocoa, coffee, faintest hint of smoke. Mouth is big and oily, medium bittersweet, some citrus cutting through a chocolaty, sooty, espresso body. Goes down dangerously smooth for a 9.1%.

Denne imperial stout har et sort udseende med et svagt brunt skum. Řllen har en sřd lakrids aroma og smager deraf med smag af kaffe og noter af chokolade. Virkelig kraftfuld og intens. Bitter afrunding. Lav karbonering der gřr řllen dejlig cremet.

Powerful stout with aroma of chocolate, coffee and liquirice. Black with a small brown head. Medium-high sweetness and light-medium bitterness. Full body and creamy texture. A complex and very tasteful Imperial stout.

Sample from bottle, poured deep Brown with a tanned head. Nose of sweet chocolate, toasted malts, light mocca, big red forrest fruits, raisins, dry ashy aftertaste. Nice classic stout
