Brewed locally at the Victory Brewery in Chester County, the Summer of Love Ale is a golden ale made with pale malts, German hops and Brandywine River water. This specific style of beer was chosen because it has a broad appeal and will be accessible for casual beer drinkers, but will still retain exciting hop notes.

The brew has a vibrant and refreshing pale color derived from its lean and refreshing malt body. And the initially floral aroma of hops segues into a well integrated, refreshing hop dryness of European heritage.

Extremely clear and crisp ale with cascade-hops nose but subdued finish. Great light summer Ale! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is the kind of blond ale that comes off as a lighter version of an APA. This isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but I happen to quite like lighter American ales so it works quite well for my tastes. This is a pale orange beer w/ a short lived head of big, soapy-looking bubbles. Aroma and taste are sort of light and lager-ish but w/ a hint of ale like fruitiness. Hopping is bright and refreshing. It seems to me to be a mix of American and noble hops, combining some citric notes w/ a bit of herbal complexity. Perhaps it might be American grown noble varieties, which taste similar. Texture is light and dry but there is a bit of viscosity w/o there being any stickiness. This is a really well done beer.

Crisp, nearly seltzer like. Hops very noticeable. Drinks pretty much like a session IPA. Great summer. Gets a bit drying after a while.

Bottle thanks to mikem409: Poured a hazy orange with a thin white head. Aroma is slight hoppiness and floral. Taste is nice refreshing grain and sweet corn with a nice hops bite to finish off a great summer beer.

The aroma is earthy, musty, flowers. The appearance is a crystal clear gold color, white head. The flavor is flowers, earthy, caramel. The finish is floral hop bittering. Mediu in body. Decent. Good for the hot weather.

Bottle. Poured golden with a white head. Aroma of grass, floral hop, and hints of spices. The flavor found floral hop with a light backing of spices and malt. Light body, crisp, and a mild hop throughout.

Bottle at Pizza Port. Catpiss, grass, and citrus aroma with some biscuity malts. Hoppy flavor, light malts, too much catpiss for me, but maybe that’s age? A bit harsh on the hops, though nicely refreshing and tasty.

12 oz. Bottle. Lemon zest, light hop aroma. Deep golden, coppery pour with a half inch white head and decent lacing. The palate was a little lighter than medium with a crisp finish. Floral, perfume hop fronted taste with a citrus note in the middle and a hint of a malt finish.
