COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed locally at the Victory Brewery in Chester County, the Summer of Love Ale is a golden ale made with pale malts, German hops and Brandywine River water. This specific style of beer was chosen because it has a broad appeal and will be accessible for casual beer drinkers, but will still retain exciting hop notes.

The brew has a vibrant and refreshing pale color derived from its lean and refreshing malt body. And the initially floral aroma of hops segues into a well integrated, refreshing hop dryness of European heritage.

Bottle thanks to mikem409: Poured a hazy orange with a thin white head. Aroma is slight hoppiness and floral. Taste is nice refreshing grain and sweet corn with a nice hops bite to finish off a great summer beer.

Bottle at Pizza Port. Catpiss, grass, and citrus aroma with some biscuity malts. Hoppy flavor, light malts, too much catpiss for me, but maybe that’s age? A bit harsh on the hops, though nicely refreshing and tasty.

12 oz. Bottle. Lemon zest, light hop aroma. Deep golden, coppery pour with a half inch white head and decent lacing. The palate was a little lighter than medium with a crisp finish. Floral, perfume hop fronted taste with a citrus note in the middle and a hint of a malt finish.

UPDATED: FEB 2, 2013 Aroma is a mix of grassy and bitter hops. The flavor is very beery and grassy, along with a malt backbone and a long and bitter finish. Most beers that are in this style aren’t as intense as this, as this leaves them in the dust in that department.

12oz bottle poured into a Bruery tulip glass. Pours a clear golden color with a one finger head and some spotty lacing. Aroma is crackers & yeast. Taste comes across the same with a slight herbal hint of hops at the end. Overall a refreshing summer. If you’re trying to choose between this and something from BMC, pick this up.

Aroma is lemon, orange, and sort of grassy. Poured a clear golden color with a soapy white head. Taste is a sort of bitter/sweet floral and citrus hops blend with a nice crispness to it. Feels light bodied and fizzy. Easy to drink em down.

Bottle:   Straw, fairly clear, moderate frothy white head, spotty lacing.   Soft musty straw/hay, a touch of citrus peel and pith.   Starts out with a straw/hay aspect, but quickly develops a hop bitterness, pithy towards the back.   Well balanced, smooth.   Reminds me of an Extra Pale Ale that is somewhat Kolsch like.   For a Blonde Ale, its moderate to full bodied.   A touch dry on the exit.   One good summer drink’n brew!
