COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed locally at the Victory Brewery in Chester County, the Summer of Love Ale is a golden ale made with pale malts, German hops and Brandywine River water. This specific style of beer was chosen because it has a broad appeal and will be accessible for casual beer drinkers, but will still retain exciting hop notes.

The brew has a vibrant and refreshing pale color derived from its lean and refreshing malt body. And the initially floral aroma of hops segues into a well integrated, refreshing hop dryness of European heritage.

Draft at World of Beer Land O Lakes. Pours a clear golden yellow with a small white head. Nice residual lacing along the glass. Interesting aroma with an emphasis on the malt, but still a noticeable hop presence. Good flavor for a Summer beer.

Perfect for a summer night! Crisp, hop notes in aroma and taste and this holds a light head. Pair with grilled salmon.

Draft to pint at Dutch’s. Looks decent; a translucent gold with ample head. Smells good! Hoppy for what I expected! Tastes pretty good; definitely one of the better blondes I’ve had. Mouthfeel is good too. Nice!

It’s clear and golden with sticky, tight laced foam, which lingers for a couple of minutes. The aroma seems pretty piney, hop-forward, with some alcohol and warm bread. The flavor is sort of biscuity, with some a touch of medicinal bitterness. It dries out nicely, very bread-y mouthfeel. Reminds me of a pils or a lager. It’s a great beer with full flavor, well balanced.

Pours a clear gold with a small off-white head. Aroma has a significant peppery hop tang along with grass, subtle citrus, and burnt hay. Flavor begins with grass, hay, and immediate dry bitterness from the hops. Pepper and grass follow suit and become the finishing qualities along with a strong bitterness and dryness. Light bodied and easy to drink. Good stuff, seems tailor-made for a lot of the forum posters who hate sweet malts paired with hops.

Rated at Brew Bern 2012. This was a surprisingly good beer. Good hoppy tones to it up front and a smooth easy drink. Glad I found this one.

This is fantastic. The nose is intense grapefruit hops and notes of other citrus fruits. The beer is a bright clear golden with a small white foam cap. The taste is again intense grapefruit, but without excessive bitterness. Smooth with a decidedly crisp and refreshing finish.

UPDATED: AUG 4, 2012 Nice pleasant malt flavor and golden. lasting head. flavor is floral hops and some fruitiness with lots of biscuit and toasty malt flavors that ruin it for me. bleh with the biscuit malts.
