COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s a lively jazz rhythm, a vigorous sway, a change of view or even a roll in the proverbial hay. Now it also means the welcome jolt of joy you’ll experience upon your first sip of this session saison. Bracing, but benign, this Belgian style ale enlivens any experience with a spicy, aromatic start, citrus snap and fresh finish. Swing into spring with taste!

Bottle, 04/08/2013. Pours pale golden orange, lively fizzy white head, nice retention and lacing. Aroma is lemon wheat and light malts, haze of yeast, chamomile, spices. Taste is pale malts, peppery spices and grassy herbal hops. Light palate, though perhaps a bit chalky. Was hoping for a little more finesse, but still alright for a light drinker.

Aromas of cardamom, herbs, ginger, and lemon peel. Straw-like complexion with a slight haze, and a mostly fading, white head. Dry, very floral, perfume-like, and somewhat spicy. Light bodied with lively carbonation, and a clean finish with lingering cardamom-like flavors.

Draft to taster. Looks solid; a transparent gold with fluffy white head. Smells spicy, yeasty, and doughy. Tastes like it smells with a nice, dry finish. Asolid example of the style.

Light gold in color. Citrus, spice with grass and radish towards the end, almost like an orange peel. Nice carbonation and creamy head. Not quite what I’d expect of a saison but enjoyable.

BVery (11362) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - APR 6, 2013
Bottle. Slightly hazy yellow pour with a white head. Nice spritzy lemon zest with some grassy hop bite. Light and crisp, and good flavor. Good stuff for summer.

On tap at Sharp Edge Beer Emporium. Pours a clear light orange with a thick white head. Aroma of juniper berries, sage, flowers, floral hops, Belgian yeast. Flavor of light spices, lemon, yeast, earthy hops, flowers. A bit odd tasting, spice wise, and it’s not terribly exciting flavor-wise. It’s alright. 6/4/6/4/13 (3.3/5)

2.6

aside from a peppery snap in the middle of the flavor, this wasnt particularly memorable. too much for up front piney hops to be a saison too. not a good example of the style.
