Bottle from Bottledog, Kings Cross. Hazy, yellow colour. Thin, bubbly, white head. Smells like the lemon infused aftershave you’d get in a Turkish barbers shop. Lemongrass. Sorbet. Taste is dry, and a little pithy bitter. Fresh palate. A little creaminess. Finish is spicy dry, with bitterness at the end. Gription79 (2892) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - JUN 13, 2014
Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. The aroma is very interesting, orange, citrus, peppery. The flavor is husky, peppery, spicy. This is thin and astringent, lacks complexity. allmyvinyl (11069) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 13, 2014
355ml bottle at home. Pours pale yellow, light haze. Strong herbal note, bay, maybe lemon balm, more lemon itself, white pepper. Taste has a zingy freshness, light saline note. Light body, creamy texture, bay lingers. AshtonMcCobb (6943) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 13, 2014
Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. madvike (3302) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 12, 2014
Appearance - bright golden with a nice head.
Nose - lemon and a green pungent herb thing. Also a touch of fresh sweat. Cactus/aloe Vera. Maybe bay leaves.
Taste - medicinal lemon balm. More fresh sweat and some tomato stalks.
Palate - light to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry finish.
Overall - opposite of synergy. The overall package didn’t live up to the beautiful complex aroma.
Bottle - Pours clear golden with a thin ring of off-white head. Nose is white pepper, coriander, and dry, lightly fruity malt. Mineral as well, but real spicy. Taste is really spicy with lemon peel, but has a weird plastic note as well. A touch of nuttiness (!) and a perfumy, spicy finish. Not my bag at all. When I want to session something, it sure as hell shouldn’t be spicy. Thin, with biting carbonation. Just not my thing.

I’ve been liking this a lot. nice spritzy head with lacing. Very bright, sharp and dry up front and then the peppery spice comes in followed by a bit more herbal character and finishing light and somewhat lemony. A beer in three cohesive parts. And a low ABV keeps it refreshing. Sammy (12837) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 10, 2014
Fair saison, on tap at MacGregor Amherst. Light yellow with carbonation bubbles. A story in pepper. Darwenus (1159) - Virginia, USA - JUN 9, 2014
It pours clear yellow with a fair amount of head and lace. There is a lot of carbonation that rises from the bottom until the last sip. The smell is pretty good, a little malt and yeast and citrus. The flavor is the same, but with a little bit of a sulfur aftertaste that I didn’t much like. Not enough to ruin it, but I never quite got to where I didn’t mind that aftertaste. jdb288 (584) - Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA - JUN 9, 2014
Draft. Pours gold with thick white head. Aroma is lemon, misc. citrus, sugar cookie. Taste is sour lemon (not as aggresive as expected), some dough/yeast/biscuit elements, orange rind. Not as crisp as I’d like...chewier and denser. Good, not great. Caytinator (1005) - Waco, Texas, USA - JUN 8, 2014
12oz bottle. Too citrusy, I think. Clear, straw colored beer with light lacing and a small/moderate bubbly head. Pleasant enough aroma, zesty. Taste is average for the style, with some spices and citrus-y bitter finish. I think it’s a pretty good beer.
