12 oz. bottle. Pale golden pour with mild haziness. Medium, quickly fading head with decent lacing. Aroma is phenolic with lots of belgian yeast, bubble gum, and spice notes. Flavor is light, crisp, with a nice lingering belgian twang. Spice and citrus clean up the finish. Light bodied with zippy carbonation. This is quite nice. Bottle from Sam’s, Durham. All hail the session brew trend. Nicely lemonade-y pour, moderately cloudy, could almost pass for a Berliner crossed with a singel (the fluffy head of the latter gives this one away as farmhouse). Nice nose, citrus wakeup call and spice/yeast to complement. Full bodied, nicely spicy in places on the palate, I was pleased that the herbs didn’t get too assertive, allowing the more bitter and lightly hopped qualities to shine through. Well done. I should get some more. alobar (3966) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 21, 2013
Pours straw yellow with a creamy white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, spice, and citrus. Pepper, yeast, and citrus flavor. Very nice. Clean dry finish. drjay44 (3889) - Salida, Colorado, USA - APR 1, 2013
12 oz. bottle. Pours a thick, well retained, fluffy white head, with some lacing, over a very slightly hazy yellow (SRM 3) body....nose is cereal, light lemon, hints of allspice.....taste is light lemon, allspice, leading to a dry, moderately bitter, slightly peppery finish....mouth feel light of medium, carbonation adds light acid tingle. This falls well within this very broad style. It is low in ABV, and is a bit too hazy, but has a nice clean, refreshing finish. Complexity in aroma is low, but the flavors are well on. Drought. Rich yellow color, small whitish foamy head, hoppy aroma, low carbonation, abrupt finish. Nice refreshing seasonal. Huhzubendah (3775) - Washington DC, USA - APR 3, 2013
The body is transparent and pale straw with a little over an inch of fluffy white head. the aroma brings hops, funk, farm, sunshine, lemons, lemon rind, grass, a touch of spice. Nice floral notes and hops. Light and refreshing. I’m really digging the light body and low alcohol. A thirst quencher of a beer, and packed with flavor. I’ll have no trouble with this sixer and definitely see this as a repeat purchase for hot weather beer consumption, i.e. lawnmowing beer. Terminus (3739) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - MAR 21, 2014
Bottle-purchased at total wine in Springfield, VA march 2014
Pours dark yellow hue with lite haziness and a small fizzy white head. not much to look at here. nose is very spicy-lots of gop, pepper, corriander maybe a pinch of lemongrass. flavors are also very spicy. if this were a full-bodied saison, i would hate it. it shows that there are now so many low-abv beers out there with lots of flavor. big peppery flavors, lite bitterness, with a touch of grains. this is actually very tasty. Even though the rating isnt that high, i think its worthy of a session brew! reggiedunlop (3726) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 2, 2013
Pours a clear pale yellow with a thick white head...nice lacing and retention. Aroma has lots of lemon and some light herbal notes...a bit like thyme...touch of clove. Flavor has lots of grassy/spicy bitterness...still lemon and significant herbal notes. Mouthfeel is light and the finish is dry and herbal/bitter. 12 oz bottle. Clear gold with a brief white head leaving sheets of lace. Nose is dough, light lemon and banana; simple but nice. Crisp then fluffy finishing with a buzz. Taste is lemon cookie, grass, ginger and radish. A touch of peppery heat lingers. I could do a sixer if i was in the right mood.
