Pours a semi clear light golden yellow with a small head. Nose is grass and wild outdoor spices. Taste is lemony, yeasty and full of spice. Obviously, very drinkable, but it is a session beer. Different but one time only. Finish is spicy as well, with lingering citrus. Quaff Score 6 / 10 Bule (2314) - California, USA - MAY 7, 2014

UPDATED: JUL 23, 2013 12oz bottle. Pours a cloudy light golden with a white head. Light weight saison with flavors of lemon, pepper and water. Yes water. Very simple and light saison that’s not to bad but is a bit too on the watery side for this guy.
7-23-13: Tried this again and like it alot better. Yes it is lightweight and somewhat watery but for 4.5 really not bad and hitting the spot tonight. This time I’m getting alot of pear and clove notes. Same beer. Different day. Different beer. Darkmagus82 (2303) - - SEP 4, 2014

Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – Pours a lightly hazed golden yellow color with a big billowy white head. The head initially fades very fast, but then slows its fade and lingers a bit. Once the head is completely faded (after about 4 min) a decent level of lace is left on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is heaviest of wheat, yeast, grass and some haylike funk. Mixed with these are notes of pepper, coriander and nutmeg as well; overall a fairly drier smelling traditional saison.
Taste – The taste starts out of a medium wheaty flavor as well as some flavors of a light citrus. As the taste advances yeast and the spices detected in the nose, come to the tongue with the orange citrus transitioning more toward a lemon flavor. As the orange transitions to lemon, the bready flavors lighten and haylike and grassy flavors enter the taste. These flavors all take the taste its end, where the funky and hay flavors get even stronger in nature producing a somewhat bitter and a bit unbalanced grassy and astringent haylike funky flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The body of the beer is thin in its creaminess and thickness with a carbonation level that is on the higher side. Both are nice for making a crisp feeling brew and suit well the lighter session saison profile that the beer is going for.
Overall – The initial tastes, mouthfeel, and look were all very nice, but the finish to the taste, with its big funky, grassy, haylike, and bitter flavors weren’t balanced out by enough wheaty/bready flavors/body. barncatmatt (2286) - Cambridge, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 16, 2013
355 ml bottle from wegmans in Niagara Falls ny. Clear light golden with a lasting white head. Nice light fruity and spicy nose. The flavour is way over spiced making it pretty much undrinkable. Not a session saison at all. Boooooooooooooooo!

12oz bottle from Binny’s. Pours hazy golden yellow with white head. Aromas of lemony citrus, light spices, and saison yeast. Flavors are on the lighter side with some light spices, bready malts, little yeast, and some citrus. Nice drinkable beer. MaBeer1972 (2224) - Reno, Nevada, USA - JUL 24, 2013
Six pack from DeBucas. Pours out a light lemony color with a white frothy head. Light bubbly carbonation. Light citrus and yeasty aromas. Flavor is good. Very refreshing brew. Goes down easy. Clean, crisp finish. Highly under-rated. ROGUE (2216) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - OCT 6, 2013
12oz bottle. Pours a pale straw color with a slight haze, with a huge, fluffy white head that lingers. Aroma is grainy, some barnyard, lemony citrus and some peppery spiciness. Very floral flavor up front, lemon and orange zest, herbal and slightly medicinal pepperiness on the finish. Almost tart tangy feel, lightly effervescent, on the lighter side of medium bodied, finishes dry.
