Bottle from Total Wine, Sacramento. Pours clear golden with a frothy white head and a fruity aroma. There is a light-bodied bitter malt flavor with a nice yeast presence and a dry spicy finish. MartinT (10037) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 24, 2014
My Bottom Line:GT (10002) - San Diego, California, USA - MAR 16, 2013
This estery Saison shares plenty of fruitiness and herbs in a lean and quenching mouthfeel.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam settles atop the misty yellow.
-This is just as flavorful as many 6%+ Saisons.
-Carbonation is not as fluffy and airy as I would have liked it to be (for this style).
-Herbal hop bitterness balances out the finish.
-Spices are well blended into the overall profile of the beer.
355mL from Total Wine, Jax FL. Pours a bright golden with heavier sparkling carbonation. Soapy, bright white head. Good lacing. Nose at first is a lot of poopy toilet with lemon disinfectant, moving thankfully to chamomile and some gamey spices. But that poopy aroma is off putting. Taste is herbal adjunct bomb with chamomile, lavender, lemon peel. Intense herbal hops to drive it home. Palate is a bit chalky and mildly anesthetic/medicinal from the herb adjunct overload. Not so refreshing. I thought we got past the point of doing a spiced Belgian blonde ale = saison. arminjewell (9720) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - JUN 2, 2013
Pour out of 12 oz bottle, hazy yellow pour with thin white head, aroma brought notes of lemon, biscuit, some dull grass, earthy notes, slight vanilla, cracker malts as well. Taste is sweet vanilla, biscuit, into some slight lemon, fruity grape notes, kind of dull and mashed together into some grass and earth, finishing dry. Just ok. 12oz bottle. Mostly clear yellow color. Thin bubbly white head, some bubbles on the side of the glass. Little bits of lace. Surprisingly herbal aroma makes me think Saison du Buff. Sage, oregano, thyme... Not that I don’t like that, I just expected a much more traditional saison (to differentiate from the Dogfish / Stone collab). Light spice, some citrusy zest, light belgian-style farmhouse yeast. Nice savory taste. Medium body, smooth lighter crisp carbonation, more on the dry side. Enjoyable, flavorful, drinkable light saison. I can’t help but think of it as a Saison Du BUFF Light, which for me is a good thing. Also always good to have another 12oz saison option.

Bottle. Pours amber with an off white head. Light spicy yeast, faint malty sweetness, and flowery hops. Good stuff. solidfunk (9363) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - JUN 13, 2013
Decent saison with some bitter hay and grass on the top. Pours cloudy pale with good head and lacing. Decent amount of barnyard in here with hay and musk. Finishes grassy bitter. Soft carbonation. Ok for style, has good balance. Some soda water in feel with some cloying. Bottle. 3fourths (9357) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAR 22, 2013
bottle. hazy gold body, short white head. basically a witbier, just like ernie said. musty perfume, orange jam (jelly? i already told you once), potpourri orange peel and sulfuric vitamin yeast in the nose. lean, dry, bitter texture and flavor. brash dryness with bracing hop acidity, totally unbalanced. okay, it doesn’t taste bad, it’s not the smell and flavor. it’s how out of balance it is. there’s nothing here to make me want another drink. it’s horribly bitter and rough for it’s size. ugh. czar (9338) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 30, 2013
on tap at prohibition pig, waterbury. bright yellow with a frothy white head, good retention, strong lacing. lightly spiced, citrus, some lime zest, light pine, saison yeast, pale and dry fruitiness. bright carbonation, light body, very nice citrusy finish. highly sessionnable and much enjoyed it before eating like a (pro) pig! b3shine (9079) - Indiana, USA - APR 7, 2013
Draft to taster. Looks solid; a transparent gold with fluffy white head. Smells spicy, yeasty, and doughy. Tastes like it smells with a nice, dry finish. Asolid example of the style.
