It’s a lively jazz rhythm, a vigorous sway, a change of view or even a roll in the proverbial hay. Now it also means the welcome jolt of joy you’ll experience upon your first sip of this session saison. Bracing, but benign, this Belgian style ale enlivens any experience with a spicy, aromatic start, citrus snap and fresh finish. Swing into spring with taste!

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy light gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is fresh, but light earthy citrus. Med minus body. Flavor is lightly earthy and the flavor is something green. Had me thinking of very light bay leaf. Finishes clean, dry and a tad earthy.

Thanks Jeff for the pour. A crisp golden apple color. Very fresh grassy smell. Very refreshing taste. Very drinkable. A nice peppery background. A unique funky flavor that is definitely slammable.

Yellow color with a small persistent foam collar. Aromas of citrus, spices and saison yeast. Flavors of citrus, spices, saison yeast and hops. Couleur jaune citron avec un petit col de mousse persistant. Nez d’agrumes, épices et levure de saison. Saveurs annoncées par le nez avec du houblon en plus.

My Bottom Line:
This estery Saison shares plenty of fruitiness and herbs in a lean and quenching mouthfeel.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam settles atop the misty yellow.
-This is just as flavorful as many 6%+ Saisons.
-Carbonation is not as fluffy and airy as I would have liked it to be (for this style).
-Herbal hop bitterness balances out the finish.
-Spices are well blended into the overall profile of the beer.

Bottle.

12 oz long neck...pours w/slight haze, light amber in color. Lacey white head on top...not a lot of laces on my tulip like a lot of others in this style. A lot of strong citrus on the nose...typical Belgian sour on the tongue. I like the light, effervescent presentation. Nice session saison.

A very nice session ale. Light, floral, and fruity with a balanced amount of spice. Bitterness is also understated.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - bright golden with a nice head. Nose - lemon and a green pungent herb thing. Also a touch of fresh sweat. Cactus/aloe Vera. Maybe bay leaves. Taste - medicinal lemon balm. More fresh sweat and some tomato stalks. Palate - light to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - opposite of synergy. The overall package didn’t live up to the beautiful complex aroma.

355ml bottle at home. Pours pale yellow, light haze. Strong herbal note, bay, maybe lemon balm, more lemon itself, white pepper. Taste has a zingy freshness, light saline note. Light body, creamy texture, bay lingers.

Bottle... Pours hazy and yellow with huge, rocky, white head and lots of white and brown floaties tooling about my glass. The head never fully dissipates. Bright, fruity, spicy nose, offering coriander, white pepper, and a medley of citrus peels - mainly orange, key lime and ruby red grapefruit. Medium to full-bodied with jazzy carbonation. The flavor is perfectly balanced and easy drinking. There’s a bright citric component, negligible spiciness and a hint of acidity. Yeasty, lightly bitter finish. Bottle courtesy of drowland!
