Bottle. Yellow color with a lot of white head. Smell is corn, malt, hop, LEMON, grass. Also smells dungy as in a swamp. Natural for sure, but something I don’t want to smell in a beer. Taste is more subdued but very wheaty. Some lemon, malt, hop. Thin body and medium carbonation. NikkTwist (3307) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 7, 2013
Draft at Moriartys. Slightly hazy honey gold pour with a large frothy white head. Feels like a very full wheat beer off the top but has a notable spicy citrus hop bite in the finish. Puffed wheat and black pepper. Bit unusual. Nephilium (1821) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - MAR 10, 2013
Mild lemon and earthy aroma. Pours a hazy light yellow with almost no head. Light crisp flavor, with a touch of earthy notes and citrus. Very easy drinking, and a nice session beer. scottw86 (1178) - Maryland, USA - APR 27, 2014
Poured a clear yellow color with a thin white head that faded quickly. Lots of lemon and citrus in the aroma with spices. Taste has lots of spices with floral notes and more lemon. Finish is a little bit sweet with lots of lemon and nutmeg. Overall it’s very refreshing but a little too heavy on the lemon. HonkeyBra (4044) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - APR 30, 2014
12 oz. bottle. Pale golden pour with mild haziness. Medium, quickly fading head with decent lacing. Aroma is phenolic with lots of belgian yeast, bubble gum, and spice notes. Flavor is light, crisp, with a nice lingering belgian twang. Spice and citrus clean up the finish. Light bodied with zippy carbonation. This is quite nice.

On tap at Big Texas Beer Fest. Golden with a white head. The aroma and flavor have some biscuit malt as well as some Belgian yeast notes. I also get a hint of orange citrus as well as some very light earthy funk notes. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Gription79 (2893) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - JUN 13, 2014
Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. The aroma is very interesting, orange, citrus, peppery. The flavor is husky, peppery, spicy. This is thin and astringent, lacks complexity. blklab2007 (2120) - Connecticut, USA - JUN 22, 2014
Bottle poured a golden color with a covering of white head that hung on well. Aroma has grains, spices, and herbs. Mouth feel is medium and there is medium low carbonation. Flavor leads in with spice and herbs while there is a grainy Saison underneath. I thought from the fruit looking thing on the label there would be some citrus or peach or something in the beer. Bottle from Wegman’s. Gold pour with white head. Nose is spicy florals, hops, slight yeasty funk. Tastes hoppy and citric with pale malt, mild funky yeasty notes, and a medium palate heft and complexity. Heathen (1500) - Wilmington, Delaware, USA - OCT 22, 2014
THOUGHTS: A little disappointed with this one. Just because something is low in alcohol, doesn’t mean its sessionable. It has to be easy to drink too; and this definitely isn’t easy to drink. It was interesting and complex but there was way too much going on flavor-wise for such a light body.
TECHNICAL: Drank 3/29/2013. Bottle. Poured a sparkling, light, golden yellow with an average, slightly off-white head that kept a nice sheet and left excellent lacing. The aroma had light white bread and pale malt; light grassy hops; moderate musty, dusty and cobweb-like yeast; pepper and other spices; lemon; lime; and orange. The initial flavor was slightly sweet, moderately bitter and heavily acidic; while the finish was lightly sweet, heavily bitter and nearly harshly acidic. There was lemon, orange, pale malt, crackers, white bread, earthy yeast, metallic hops, spices, slightly funky yeast, grassy hops, citrus pith and rind. The light to medium body was dry with fizzy carbonation and a dry and metallic finish.
