Before Prohibition, thirst quenching lagers were firm and substantial, and enjoyed in huge volumes. This recipe incorporates yeast from the C. Schmidt Brewery of Philadelphia and a small portion of brewer's corn to recreate an 'industrial' lager of the turn of the century.

Draught: Smelled malty as well as of corn and some sweet fruit (like apple). Also smelled of a bit of grassy hops and yeast. Poured golden color with large, dense white head. Very nice lacing. Clear. Slightly sweet and bitter corn flavor. Malty, with a small hop presence mainly in the finish. Light to medium body. Kind of thin and watery. Average carbonation. Short finish. Overall, its a classy beer for your average light beer drinker. Not something I would usually drink, but good for a game of quarters.

Not a lager dude but I had to give it a shot. Pours a clear, medium gold body with a small, and I do mean small, white head. All malt aroma. Flavor is that of a cheap macro lager. Not my thang.

drinkable, nothing great almost tastes like a lite beer, no head, no bite what so ever, not my favorite victory beer.

Looks almost like a BMC product in the glass with a clear gold color with little to no head. Tasted malty more than anything else. I liked it for a lager and found it to be extremely easy drinking. Perfect lawnmower.

Draught sample at Victory. Pours a medium gold clear with thin off-white head that dissipated quickly. Medium bodied with medium-high carbonation. Had a mild hop note and bland sweetish malt to start. Bittering became stronger toward the finish and had a somewhat clean after. Overall, I thought it was a bit watery compared to their other lagers. Mild tang for the finish, as well.

This one was a dead goose next to the V12 and Old Horizontal. Well its pretty much standrard issue stuff. Clear yellow appearance with some corn and a little bit of malt. This exists to keep the barflys playing pool happy and drunk. Its the cash cow beer. No thanks.

Tap- ppured golden copper with a lot of carbonation. Nice citrus and maltiness in the aroma. Taste was very pleasant. If I were to be by a pool in the summer I would be very pleased with this beer. For the category it is very good.

Pure golden color, no hazy or cloudiness, looked almost like a Bud or Coors, but didnt taste like it, very smooth & drinkable, great session beer, nothing like the big three lagers, full-bodied, well-balanced, well-done lager
