COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Previously known as All Malt Lager (Helles) & V Lager

There was a time when all beer tasted this good. Back when immigrant Brewmasters turned fresh malts and hops into liquid gold. Before big business lessened our precious beer with corn and rice. Having trained in Germany, we thirst for better beer. So, we brew better beer like this crisp, golden, helles-style lager. Brewed with patience from quality German malts and hops, it is a Victory for Your Taste!

Malt: Imported 2 row German malts

Hops: Whole flower German hops

A pretty solid lager. Had on tap at Mudville 9. Rich malt aroma and flavor, with a nice dose of hops to create some complexity. Some caramel notes. Mild bitterness on the finish.

TBone (17699) - Pori, FINLAND - FEB 28, 2015
Bottle in San Juan as V Lager. Slightly hazy yellow color, small white head. Grainy malty aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Malty flavor with earthy German hops, a bit grainy. It is just another lager even it is from Victory.

355ml bottle (GBBF2011)
Honey and pilsner malt aroma. Bitter bite, some grassiness. White pepper finish. Tasty enough for a lager, but still a bit boring.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours light gold with a creamy white head. Bready aroma. Not a lot of hop. Med minus body. Flavor is lightly sweet and bready with only a hint of nobility. One can only wonder.

On tap at flying saucer. Pours a clear golden with a small white head that quickly dimnishes to nothing. The aroma is corn malt and honey. Thin mouthfeel with a light malt and honey flavor. A decent lager from victory.

Tmoney99 (14632) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 13, 2016
Bottle. Poured clear golden color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate bread malt and floral hop aroma. Medium body with a smooth dry texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Good beer.

argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - JUN 4, 2005
(12oz bottle, best by 8/7/05) Clear straw body topped by medium white head that dissipates fairly quickly. Aroma is medium sweet, grassy, some bread. Taste is medium sweet, bread, grassy, some apple, light corn. Minimal bitterness. Light body. A lawnmower beer, so I guess I should consider it in such terms, but this falls way short of what Victory is capable of.
