COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Previously known as All Malt Lager (Helles) & V Lager

There was a time when all beer tasted this good. Back when immigrant Brewmasters turned fresh malts and hops into liquid gold. Before big business lessened our precious beer with corn and rice. Having trained in Germany, we thirst for better beer. So, we brew better beer like this crisp, golden, helles-style lager. Brewed with patience from quality German malts and hops, it is a Victory for Your Taste!

Malt: Imported 2 row German malts

Hops: Whole flower German hops

355ml bottle. Nice clear pale pour, white head. ARoma is malty, herbal but with a peanuty malt character. Falvor is again herbal peanut. It a weird helles, but its decent.

argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - JUN 4, 2005
(12oz bottle, best by 8/7/05) Clear straw body topped by medium white head that dissipates fairly quickly. Aroma is medium sweet, grassy, some bread. Taste is medium sweet, bread, grassy, some apple, light corn. Minimal bitterness. Light body. A lawnmower beer, so I guess I should consider it in such terms, but this falls way short of what Victory is capable of.

Bottle. Pours clear pale gold with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (biscuit, cereal, straw), average hops (spicy), and light esters (fruity) with notes of creamed corn. Flavor is heavy malt (biscuit, cereal, straw), average hops (spicy), and light esters (fruity) with notes of creamed corn and cabbage/celery. Light body, low warmth, average carbonation and creaminess with a lightly dry finish.

Bottle back at Paul’s place after the Blind Tiger’s Victory event. Pours a hazed yellow with a medium sized white head. Light grain, a little citrus. Crisp and sweet grain. Soft wheat. Quite crisp. Sweet, crisp, and grainy on the finish.

bu11zeye (13239) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JAN 1, 2005
(Bottle) Pours a pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma of corn and sweet malt. Thin and not much flavor.

2.3
hopdog (13191) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 17, 2004
Poured a light yellow and an averaged sized head. Aromas of musty, yeast and wet grass. Light and sweet tasting. Too light for my tastes. I like Victory beers a lot, but this is on the bottom of my list.

"i think this one was way better than the avg. indicates. grand champion indeed. might wanna change that all malt lager pic though - different beer. mellow but enticing earthy fruity aroma. wonderful to taste and very well balanced. one of the best in catergory."

Sammy (12967) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 4, 2005
mediocre malty lager. But of head, something people watching a hockey game would down without thinking, or tasting. Malty, significant carbonation.
