Previously known as All Malt Lager (Helles) & V Lager

There was a time when all beer tasted this good. Back when immigrant Brewmasters turned fresh malts and hops into liquid gold. Before big business lessened our precious beer with corn and rice. Having trained in Germany, we thirst for better beer. So, we brew better beer like this crisp, golden, helles-style lager. Brewed with patience from quality German malts and hops, it is a Victory for Your Taste!

Malt: Imported 2 row German malts

Hops: Whole flower German hops

12 oz bottle. Pale golden and slightly hazy. Fresh light malt, fresh bread. Very clean with only a hint of floral hops. Palate is a bit thin and watery, but the beer isn’t bad. I’ll take a Prima Pils over this any day though.

Not a lot going on here. Some crisp malt, paper aroma. Golden pour. Just what you would expect it to be. Bottle pour sampled at whole foods.

Bottle best by July 2015. Clear gold with no head. Simple aroma of honey-ish malt and yeast that smells like vitamins and cosmetics, and DMS shows as corn and concrete, more so in the mouth than the nose. Light bodied, moderately sweet with low bitterness and low acidity. Syrupy and flabby approach, coarse starchy finish, low carbonation. All around terrible lager, smells foul and looks bad.

pours clear bright yellow with a small white cap, little retention and lacing. grassy noble german hops, fresh maltiness and cereals - slightly corny, hint of sulfur, some fruitiness, chalky and slightly dusty/minerals. hint of cardboard and lemon. moderate carbonation, light body, dry crisp and lightly bittering herbal-grassy finish. quenching. underwhelmed by its macro-allure. o-k, still..

7/9/10. 12oz bottle into a pint glass. The pour is basically clear yellow, very light, with a fizzy white head. The aroma is dry pilsner type grain, very German - a hint of spicy hops as well. The aroma is sweeter but with that same grainy taste and a touch of earthy hops - not that obvious. A little citrusy in the finish.

UPDATED: DEC 6, 2015 Several glasses enjoyed in the Engine Room on the eve of Streets and Annie’s wedding. Clean crisp, grain and cereal. Great Lager.

Doesn’t do it for me. But what lager does? The plainest of all beers. I pass when it comes by.

Bottle. Pretty good, basic beer. Pale in color, and nice in flavor. Finishes pretty well in my opinion.

UPDATED: AUG 22, 2011 A decent lager but still not one that I gravitate too very often. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer pours a light golden color with only a trace of a white head. There is a strong typical lager scent with just a hint of fruit. The flavor is malty and lightly fruity. There is a slight malty aftertaste. If one were to judge on the color and aroma one might just pass this beer by. But the flavor really is quite good for this style of beer.
