Clear pale gold with a tight white head. Aroma is corn like malt and some light fruity sweetness. Taste follows closely. Solid mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Super drinkable. True to style and very well executed. drougkolya (276) - Otterburn Park, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 1, 2010
UPDATED: OCT 27, 2010 Bière blonde de type lager, avec malt et houblon allemand, couleur trouble ressemblant à une blanche, peu houblonné, très douce. Schroppfy (2360) - Łódż, Warsaw, Poland; Michigan, Ohio, USA - JAN 27, 2004
UPDATED: JAN 2, 2008 When someone states malt is buttery and crackery - start here! Add a crisp, slightly earthy, slightly flowery and slightly mettalic hop presence to a subtly cloudy body and you have an incredible beer - not quite as sweet as the old Victory Dort, but to my mind this is crackerjack, drink in 15 seconds, hop tingly perfection. Among the best in style. Only touches of sweetness. Thanks Britt!!!! bob_w (373) - new york, New York, USA - JUN 9, 2013
fantastic, fresh, clean, rich malty lager. it’d be hard to find a better tasting german helles without journeying to germany. Hercules (11) - Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 25, 2009
This is a nice light lager that I enjoy having on a nice spring day. It is not overly complex, but has a nice single layer flavor to it that is very refreshing. It is nice easy drinking.

You’re pretty much guarenteed that if it is a beer from Victory Brewing in Pennsy, then what’s inside will at least be true-to-style and a decent effort.
This lager pours a nice, deep yellow, with a very good head on it that stays to the bottom of the glass. Nice carbonation; not too much, not too little. Nice grass-like hop nose, with some malty-bread-like aromas peeping through.
Excellent baked bread flavor, with some good sourish yeasty notes. The hops are very well done, being there, but combining in harmony with the malt, not overpowering it.
This is one of my favorite American craft brewed beers... with one caveat! Careful not to pick up a batch that is past it’s "best by" date. I don’t know if this is the carrier’s fault, but I do seem to find quite a bit of this beer nearing, or past its "best by" date. When fresh, it is an American gem!! lachrymalisis (441) - Washington, USA - APR 5, 2013
best Dortmunder made in America! You glue-sniffers don’t know what the hell you’re talking about. this beer is exceptional beyond all reproach. unclemattie (4358) - Georgia, USA - AUG 24, 2013
Tap @ TacoMac, Crabapple. Golden color, white foam. Aroma of pale malts. Flavor of pale grains, crisp. Super sessionable. Poundable. (3799) Beastwhite315 (31) - - MAY 14, 2016
Not overly hoppy so it makes a good light summer drinking beer that won't fill you up on a hot summer day. Definitely can taste the noble hops but very subtle.

UPDATED: JUN 11, 2005 (previous rating in this slot was mistakenly for the Dortmunder) New Rating 6/11/2005) What a perfectly wonderful beer. I could drink gallons of this stuff, especially in hot weather. Clear straw with lively columns of bibbles that cascade to the surface forming a nice lastig white head. The aroma just screams lager, unsalted saltines with a wisp of noble hops. The flavor is even more crackery. Extremely well-balanced and refeshing. Light crisp body, pure malt exhuberance washing down to my gullet. It is a shame that more folks can not appreciate this wonderful beer, or even this style for that matter!
