3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On pour this is a clear amber color with and off white head that was short lived. The head was thinner and left little lacing. The belgium yeast yields to the high 12% abv on nose. There was a nice body consisting of malt, yeast, bread, and alcohol on the palate. The finish was a melted butter consistency.
25.4-ounce caged and corked bottle pours clear copper-orange with trace of off-white head and lacing. Aroma: cherries, plums, balsamic vinegar, apples. Flavor: malt-forward (candi sugar, caramelized brown sugar) with ripe plums, raisins, dates, white pepper, black pepper. Mouthfeel: full-bodied; boozy burn on finish that singes the nose hairs. A suitable sipper for by the fireplace, dog at feet, with pipe and newspaper in hand -- although I enjoyed this on a warm summer night as well! solidfunk (9009) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - AUG 12, 2017
Really top notch stuff like Cohiba cigars. Coriander and loads of florals. Golden pour with good head and lacing. A little grass and some citrus. Wonderful complexity. Light sweet finish with some astringency. Nice. Bottle. ffaoe (804) - Moorestown, New Jersey, USA - AUG 9, 2017
Strong malty aroma. Amber and clear in color with nice long lasting head. Strong malty flavors of caramel, raison, and faint plum. jonas (7611) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - JUN 13, 2017
Bottle at Tap-House Munich for my rating #7500. Dark amber to Brown, Low offwhite head. Honey, spice aroma. Fullbodied, some sugar notes, Belgian fruity yeast notes: fresh apple, fermenting tropical, light banana, sweet potatoe. Chewy, caramel grain, fitting hop backstop. Good Belgian notes, perhaps a bit too sugary, but quite drinkable nonetheless. SinH4 (4942) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - JUN 13, 2017
Bottle, shared for jonas’ 7500th rating. Hazy amber color with small white head. Aroma is fruit esters, caramel, raisins, musty. Taste is raisins, musty, toffee. Medium carbonation, warming finish. Well-made, but somehow these rather pale beers above 10% are not for me.

1 day old growler in tulip glass,
A - copper orange relatively clear with litle white head
A - candied sugar, bananas
T - mod strong sweet, mild to minimal bitterness, no sour, strong coriander
P - light medium body, thin creamy texture, low carb due to growler, should take finish complex
O - enjoyable interesting brew TEJA (3102) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 31, 2017
A bad short light brown head. Very orange amber color. Big aroma from caramell. The caramell also is dominant in the taste with a big residual sweetness. Good body and hop balance. Alpha10 (773) - Ontario, CANADA - MAY 14, 2017
2017/05/14 - Pours a hazy, deep orange honey colour with a soapy white head that quickly dissipates and leaves no lacing. Aroma is Belgian yeast, banana, bubblegum, toffee, honey, brown sugar, candied fruit (pears, orange, dark fruit) and sweet bread. Taste is more candied fruit, bready yeast notes, toffee, honey, medicinal notes and sweet alcohol. Mouthfeel is medium to full and syrupy with smooth carbonation and a sweet, medicinal, warming finish. I found this to be almost too sweet, but overall rather enjoyable.
