3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
This rating is for the 2012 version, which is more like a pale ale than a brown ale. Coffee in the aroma and flavor, but a golden/amber color and lighter mouthfeel. Really nice and not heavy as most coffee beers go.
Not terrible, just not good. This to the palate. Smells great, like coffee, weird for a brown ale. Had w EC group.

2/16/16. Lucky catch on draft during happy hour at Bleu Cafe. Brown pour under a small khaki head, mild lacing. Light coffee aroma, nutty, hints of chocolate. Nice coffee flavor, creamy, a touch of caramel, nutty. Not bad! williamstome (1902) - Somerville, Massachusetts, USA - JAN 27, 2016
Deep orange-brown pour. Aroma is strong of medium-roast coffee. FLavor of coffee, caramel, roast. Tastes basically like cold coffee. closey22 (1981) - Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, USA - FEB 2, 2014
Dark amber with thin lastin lacy beige head; roasty aroma with hints of coffee and notes of raisin and subtle hints of chocolate; Flava is mildly sweet and malty with acidic notes of coffee; feels light with light fizz; finishes tangy dry notes of coffee kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 11, 2014
Tap. Brown Ale with coffee added per the menu. Pours a clear light brown to amber body with a small tight bubbled off-white head. The nose is toasty malt with some nice light-roast coffee. The flavor is well balanced between the coffee and the dry toasty and chocolate malts. Some light bitterness on the finish. Light bodied and easy drinking with soft minimal carbonation. Really nice, especially for a lover of coffee beers.

Tap at tavern on main. Super clear red amber pour with white head. Aroma of toast and light roast coffee caramel toast and flowers. Taste starts as a toasted amber and transitions to light coffee and caramel/toffee. Light and very drinkable with good flavors. Well balanced and unique. I want more like this. Tap at Victory, Downington, 27/11/13.
Clear dark amber with a good sized light beige covering that thins but retains well.
Nose is coffee forward, coffee and walnut cake, sweet aroma.
Taste carries a little more constrained coffee notes, toffee fudge, sugars, coffee cake mix, sweet bread dough.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, sweet closure.
Decent coffee affair. tcane7 (1674) - Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 22, 2013
Draft at JBs. Pours a clean amber with one finger of off white head. Nose of coffee, caramel, roast. Medium body ,assertive bitterness. I recall this bring more coffee forward and less bitter, not bad but last time I had this I loved it callmemickey (4549) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 2, 2013
Light amber-brown body, medium to thin off-white head, minimal lacing. Nuts, fresh ground coffee, light caramel and grassy hops. Medium to light bodied, moderate carbonation, clean, compact finish. Pleasant. Beerathon (1683) - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 2, 2013
Usually coffee flavors of this magnitude are in a robust porter or stout, but this light brown ale delivered. I found it unique and enjoyed it because it gave the coffee flavor without overwhelming the palate or being heavy.
