Clear golden orange pour with a thin white head .... aroma of oak straight oak and chardonnay with a spicy tripel yeast, light vanilla and some boozyness .... taste is of vanilla, oak, chardonnay, some fruity tripel yeast and light orange/peach ..... has a spicy whiskey to it ..... mouthfeel has a slight abv but it is smooth and subtle on the back end .... 2014 vintage so the barrel aspects probably still need to balance out ... .finish is dry and oaky with some chardonnay and spices coming out .... nice and easy drinking docsteigs (542) - Texas, USA - FEB 6, 2014
Interesting and nice beer. Mild aroma of honey and grape. Pours like a wit with some sediment in last pour. Taste is mild, warming, with hints of sour.

Bottle, courtesy of b3shine-- thanks!-- shared with Parksy and Ian. Hazy blonde body, creamy white head, solid retention, heavy lace. Delicate tropical fruit esters, vinous traits, sweet pale malts, light vanilla. Warming finish. Very nice. pushkinwow (2789) - Ottawa, CANADA - DEC 30, 2013
On tap at Capones 2013 Black Friday event. Clear golden yellow with a white head. Lots of fruit (pear and peach dominate), alcohol, chardonnay, some vanilla. Low carbonation, moderate body, prefer the base beer. Sikash (240) - North Carolina, USA - DEC 8, 2013
Pours a nice golden color with a frothy white head. Aroma is tangy with a sour yeast aroma I was not expected was almost concerned for an infection. Some additional notes of pepper, vanilla, and wine. Flavor is a little astringent and not a big fan. I can pick out hte oak and the golden monkey that underlies this. Mouthfeel is fizzy carbonation is average. Overall I am not a big fan.

Tap at Capones Annual Black Friday event, Norristown PA, 29/11/13.
Lightly hazed golden with a moderate off white covering that thins to edgework.
Nose is vanilla, white chocolate, grape skins, peach, sweet notes.
Taste comprises a mellow white wine woody tang, vanilla caramel fudge, sugars, light yeast, background citric, much more mellow than the base beer.
Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, vinous fruit finale.
Nice stuff, beats the base beer for me, the white wine BA seems to have tempered it well, alcohol well integrated. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - NOV 3, 2013

Pours a slightly hazed pale golden color with a soft, subtle white sudsy head. Aroma is fantastically complex, combining white wine and Belgian yeast; sweet grape-fruity wine character, honey and spice with a touch of alcohol. Taste is soft and sweet; starts with a fruity chardonnay character and a malty undertone, sweet and spiced throughout with some woody and alcohol notes in the finish. A great take on the Monkey!
