12 oz bottle from John’s - Left in the fridge from the CDA competition. Hazy brown. Head went away quickly, knocking down the appearance points a bit. Roasted malt flavor. Sweet...like caramel? Hops balance the strong malts quite well. Very nice one. mistersinalin (381) - St. Paul, Minnesota, USA - FEB 17, 2010
I like a darker beer with a lot of hops. This is one of those beers. I was only able to get my hands on one, but wish I could have found more. RoscoeJackson (377) - Michigan, USA - DEC 21, 2010

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a pint glass.
A: Strong malt notes and progressive pine and citrus hop notes. Sweet with orange citrus and white grape juice and supporting maltiness. It dances from malt dominant to hop dominant in the nose.
A: Clear deep amber orange, two-finger head with some lacing. This is a sexy as a Black Ale can look!
T: Follows the nose with strong malt flavors, but a lot less sweet malt than I expected from the nose. Nice hop piney bitterness, earthy, floral, with a hint of malty caramel, very well balanced.
P: Medium bodied with nice carbonation. Slightly buttery/creamy.
O: Malt bomb + Hop Monster = Yakima Glory. I freakin’ LOVE IT!
a hop monster,of course but at 8.7 abv theres got to be a balancing caramel/roasty sweetness..piney aroma...nice looking good lacing easy to drink slight bitter finish..overall well balanced with upfront hoppiness on my first looking forward to the other 5

On tap at the brass rail, the beer poured dark amber. This beer was exceptionally fresh and tasty, with a piney hop character that wasn’t overly bitter. This is an awesome and very drinkable IPA where the alcohol is hardly noticable. Very well balanced. Scouser (353) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 1, 2010
A nice looking beer, deep reddish brown colour, with lots of cream coloured head and lacing. Nice floral citrus aroma. Hoppy bitterness with caramel, coffee undertones. A nicely balanced complex beer. Bosco (351) - Boca Raton, Florida, USA - NOV 15, 2011

UPDATED: FEB 4, 2013 Bottle into a goblet. Pour is a ruby black with a thick head. Aroma is hops on hops with a warm malt under tone. Taste is a ipa with a fine malt ale under merge. Finish is the same first bitter then warm. A very good ipa ale.
