Dark brown beer packed with flavour. Coca cola and malt. Sweet sacharrin and a contrasting lightly sour finish.
Bottle, 33 cl. Dark brown beer with a red shine, medium beige light unstable head. Aroma of malts, dark fruits and light sweet. Taste is malty, light caramel, some dark fruity texture, light hoppy aftertaste. Not very special, but OK anyway. jaghana (6224) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - NOV 25, 2010
Bottle 33cl. A clear brown beer with medium head. Smell is on brown malt. Aroma is medium sweet with good brown malt aroma and huge fruity yeast at the finish. But there is nothing about usual oude bruin such as cherry and vinous notes. So it’s a normal brown beer with a fruity yeast. DeanF (2514) - Alberta, CANADA - NOV 4, 2010
UPDATED: NOV 5, 2010 I cannot fault the appearance: it has a huge head in a chalice and a dark brown body. The aroma is soft barley and a whole lot of malt. The taste is dark syrup, heavy alcohol and sugar-induced barley, a bit of a mess and unfortunate at that. Yet, still drinkable in all its fake glory. I think it’s a good Belgian ale, but certainly not a great one. BelgBeerGeek (1307) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - OCT 1, 2010

head: bubbly, beige
smell: sour, sweet, salty, marmite like, caramel, bit of alcohol
taste: alcohol, candy , salty , malts, anis , bitter, sweet , cognacy finish, oily mouthfeel
Big brown coarseish head. Hazy opaque brown body is just barely translucent red. Spicy papery caramel aroma with milky licorice and chocolate notes. Vinegary-acidic and sweet spicy chocolate taste with peppery notes. Thin body. Fizzy mouthfeel. Dry watery peppery chocolate aftertaste fades very quickly. Infected? Or just a failure? Hard to say. Must rerate. (0.33l bottle, de Biertempel, Brugge.) capali1234 (272) - HUNGARY - JUN 22, 2010
