COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Stout was first produced in 2008 and was the first Icelandic Stout. Dark, roasted aroma, espresso beans, dark chocolate and cocoa are words that can be used to describe our Stout. It is intense in texture and character, yet relatively easy drinking and balanced.

esox (1225) - Oulu, FINLAND - NOV 6, 2015
Bottled. Black beer, lacy tan head. Mild aroma has grains, slightly nutty toast, some milk chocolate and some heavier roasty notes. Minor fruitiness. Malty flavor has sweetish bread notes, chocolate and coffeyish acidity. Narrow hop bite in the finish. Well balanced. Medium body, silky texture.

Poured on draft in Iceland. Very dark beer, descent head. Nice toasted aromas and a good burnt chocolate flavor.

Quite good and refreshing in a warm place. Better for cold weather and nice in shape being thick and stout.

Black with a decent tan head. Roasty, a little coffee and licorice. Similar taste, sweetish, a bit more body than expected

Bottle at the hotel, Reykjavik. Aroma of dark malt, some chocolate, cacao, hint of roast, some cream, coffee. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a moderate bitter finish. Pleasant body, bit creamy again. Smooth one.

asimeow (268) - Sandsli, NORWAY - JUL 22, 2015
0,33l bottle from Iceland (from Eva). Bottled 24.4.15. BBD 24.4.17. Black with medium caramel head. Metallic and licorice aroma. The coffee flavour is mild. I’m getting more licorice and metal. Astringent and nice, mild and easy to drink. A pleasant stout.

mmargarucci (343) - Basel, SWITZERLAND - JUN 11, 2015
Pours pitch black with no head. Aroma is dark chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. Taste is similar, not overly complex with a lingering taste of chocolate covered coffee beans. Carbonation is slightly off leaving a weird palate feel. Other than that a great beer for an Icelandic evening.

johndoughty (5403) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - MAY 2, 2015
Bottle. Pleasant dark appearance. Reasonable amount of body and easy to drink. Nothing exceptional but still a good one.

mcberko (17345) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 19, 2015
330mL bottle, pours black with a small beige head. Nose is earthy, with toasted malt and roasted barley. Flavour is quite earthy, bringing out toasted malt, earthy notes and no hops. Not overly complex but well-balanced. Decent stuff.
