Black color with generous head. Light aroma of roasted malt, metallic. Smooth mouthfeel; plain roasted malt flavor, not ashy, with a light lactose touch that contributes to the balance; correct bitterness; but the final is metallic.
Monodimensional, not bad but plain.
Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, coffee and hops. Oakes (17274) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 1, 2014
Dark brown, rich meaty aroma, toffeeish, slightly burnt and earthy. Pretty good, actually. chrisv10 (17262) - DENMARK - APR 16, 2011

330mL bottle, pours black with a small beige head. Nose is earthy, with toasted malt and roasted barley. Flavour is quite earthy, bringing out toasted malt, earthy notes and no hops. Not overly complex but well-balanced. Decent stuff. yngwie (17038) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - APR 16, 2011
UPDATED: JUL 1, 2011 Bottle. A black beer with a small, dense, dark beige head. Roasted, meaty nose with licorice and some coffee. The flavor has roasted malts, coffee, licorice and some chocolate. Full body, and a lasting coffee-like roasted finish with a touch of licorice. A pleasant and surprising stout. Rating: 7-4-7-4-15-3.7. 110330
Bottle, courtesy of saxo. A dark brown beer, seemingly see-through, and topped by a dense, tan head. The aroma has a lot of coffee, as well as chocolate and a touch of prunes. It’s smooth and medium bodied in the mouth, quite sweet in the flavor and with coffee and chocolate. Drying towards the end. A quite decent one, a pity the aroma is so boring. Certainly one of the Icelandic beers I could drink more of. 110416
