Another can split with kuphish and his beloved. Very pale yellow golden, lets all light through, ephemeral white head. Sweet malty nose with a very light sting of citrus rising up through its spine. Medium-dry with time, has the overwhelming disappointment of grain husks and mass production. Very, very light bitterness with a touch of wet cardboard, perhaps corn. Lighter side of medium. I’ve had worse, as this doesn’t rank among the offensive, but DAMN, is there any good beer coming out of Iceland these days?

Bought a large can in Iceland and poured into a pint glass to drink. The beer has a clear gold color with a few rising bubbles, a foamy-bubbly white head with decent retention and little cling. The aroma was primarily grainy and grassy hops with a touch of straw and a faint hit of malt. The taste was mostly bitter with a grainy flavor, and had a sour element too it as well. The beer had pretty good liveliness and carbonation, and was fairly dry, with a slight thinness.

This is a very, very standard industrial pale lager. Not much to say here, really. Faint traces of metal and wet cardboard makes this yet another beer Iceland does not impress me with.

Bottle at Bar Pilar. Very pale yellow, thin white head, scant lacing. Aroma of burnt rice. Taste is bitter and acidic, start to finish. No character or complexity. Best skipped.

Can from Reykjavik airport. Thin, beer, and the maize did not help much. Metallic flavour, very pale.

Served on tap at the very fine café Prikid in the center of Reykjavik. A very pale lager that pours a thin yellow with a thin head. No aroma. Notes of citrus and bread in the taste. This is very uninteresting at its best. Very waterish, The location is the best thing to be said about it. Beers was banned in Iceland until 1989.. apearently they still have some hurdles to get past due to the 74years of illegalicy.

On tap in a bar in Reykjavik. Aroma of malt, sweet lager with a citrus finish. Light golden , thin white lace. Citrus in the flavour, bitter and fresh. Little bit of honey in it. I needed a beer and it did the trick.

Meh. It’s an Icelandic beer, one to drink if there’s nothing else available. Boring....

Light golden with an OK head. The aroma has a light sweetness, notes of malt, wet grain and hints of metal and the same goes for the flavour. Even if it isn’t a pleasure to drink, it’s no wrose than many other mainstream lagers...
