COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Víking Strong lager has an alcohol content of 7%, making it the strongest beer in the Víking range. It has a pale golden colour with little bitterness and the slightly sweet savour of malt. Víking Sterkur is popular because of its pleasantly mild character which is retained despite its high alcohol content.

The aroma is bad, but the taste is really horrible. It tastes like one of the standard strong lagers at the Swedish alcohol store. Really horrible.

Can. Pours weak golden with a small creamy white head, fast disappearing. Aroma of sweet caramel, shy grassy hops. Taste is sweet, artificial sweet with an unpleasant farmhouse note. Not for me.

larsga (7337) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 14, 2015
Big white head. Clear pale yellow body with carbonation. Papery cabbage aroma with floral notes. Sweet-dryish papery mealy taste with oily notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish mealy papery aftertaste with mineraly oily pea notes. It’s kind of OK, but no more than that. (0.5l can, Vinbudin Akureyri.)

Pours Amber, no head. Aroma of straw, taste is metallic, malty, strong pilsner. Not offensive, but quite close to it.

500 ml can. BB 18/06/2015. (Tax Free Shop) Keflavík Airport, Iceland.
Clear yellow golden colour with a small white head. Sweet malt, earthy notes and some mild hoppy notes in the aroma. The flavour is sweetness, farmyardy notes, mild hoppy bitterness and malt. Rather OK for a 7% pale lager... or malt liquor.
