COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Víking Strong lager has an alcohol content of 7%, making it the strongest beer in the Víking range. It has a pale golden colour with little bitterness and the slightly sweet savour of malt. Víking Sterkur is popular because of its pleasantly mild character which is retained despite its high alcohol content.

Pours a beautiful pale gold with lots of effervescence and a pure white head mostly lasting. Nose is of hops and cream. Nice and creamy on the palate, the taste is of a pilsner, clean and crisp, with a certain creaminess and softness, more like a farmhouse ale. This beer can be enjoyed with smoked salmon on crackers.

Dark golden color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Corn, toast, vanilla, and some alcohol present.

500ml can, shared. Sweet, malty aroma, flavour is basically the same. Pretty syrupy, but drinkable

Clear golden, malty aroma. Taste is light and sweet, some malty fruit. Would be a bit sickly had it not been well chilled. It’s fine, doesn’t taste it’s strength.

THT July. 0,5L can courtesy of deanso, thanks for Iceland! Clear golden with white head. Big sweet chemical malts, old dusty popcorn. Over medium sweet, about medium ground bitter. Medium body, gelly texture, low carbonation.

The aroma is bad, but the taste is really horrible. It tastes like one of the standard strong lagers at the Swedish alcohol store. Really horrible.

Can. Pours weak golden with a small creamy white head, fast disappearing. Aroma of sweet caramel, shy grassy hops. Taste is sweet, artificial sweet with an unpleasant farmhouse note. Not for me.
