Roast and caramel with a little dark chocolate. Black like volcanic rock with great head and lacing. Bittersweet finish. Bottle at small cafe in the middle of nowhere.

UPDATED: FEB 8, 2017 330ml bottle from local alco store, Reykjavik. Pours dark reddish brown with light beige head, doesn’t last long, but leaves lacing. Aroma is quite humble, coffee, roasty, tart, dark chocolate. Taste is quite sweet, coffee, roast, malts, burnt sugar, dry finish. Very easily drinkable, medium bodied, average carbo. Drinkable easy stout!

Manslow (1639) - Warsaw, POLAND - AUG 31, 2016
Szklanka. Barwa ciemna, nieprzejrzysta, piana średnia dość ładnie osiada na szkle. Aromat czekolady i kawy w smaku to samo. Łagodne na podniebieniu dobre piwo.

Bottle from a Vínbúdin in Reykjavik. As Viking Stout. Pours mahogany with a frothy cream head. Light coffee aroma. The taste is coffee and chocolate with liquorice and burnt toast in the finish. Quite light bodied, but tasty and good.

Bottle @ Friends/the chef. Appearance: pours clear black with good soapy beige head and lacing. aroma/taste: chocolate, coffee, caramel and slightly burnt notes. palette: strong roasted malty aroma, average carbonation, medium to full body, medium to notable sweetness, balanced by a medium to distinct bitterness, average to long duration and a oily texture. Overall: Nice strongly roasted stout
