This poured a hazy reddish cola brown colour with a small tan head that quickly dissipated. A strong rye bread and brown sugar aroma; quite sweet malty rye bread, caramel and cola taste with a lingering bready aftertaste. Not keen.

500ml bottle as Vilniaus Bačkorių Gaivusis Giros Gerimas BB July 2015. Hazy dark red, still, small tan head, light lacing. Aroma is strong rye bread, molasses, bovril. Body is medium, smooth, low carbonation. Taste is sweet rye bread, very sweet, cola. Simple flavour. Sticky and tooth coating - quite an offensive palate. Alright overall.

rauchbier (3870) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - MAY 21, 2012
Bottle, from an ethnic food store in Scunthorpe. Hazy red brown, no head and minimal but noticable fine condition. Very pronounced rye bread aromas in the nose, some gentle toffee sweetness. Very sweet in the mouth initially with the breadiness dominant although the sweetness isnt at all cloying and the low condition does give it a little balance. Finish is surprisingly dry and grainy with retronasal rye bread dominant and a little fruitiness as it warms. Quite pleasant and refreshing.

Schroppfy (2360) - Łdż, Warsaw, Poland; Michigan, Ohio, USA - MAY 2, 2011
Dunkle, candyish, horribly sweet. Very bready, but not enough rye (detectable). The aroma has some rotting vegetable that at least is natural, bready, sprouty and interesting, the flavor is so unrelentingly horrible candied and watery at the same time as to be...undrinkable in the flavor department. I sampled about 2-3 oz as best I could. Flat and lifeless. Lots of sediment and the dregs pour helped a little. Dull, dark brown, cloudy, still.
