Tap. Amber with fluffy long lasting head. Excellent funk. Slightly tart with substantial citrus. Pretty darn good saison. Pawola22 (3262) - Woodridge, Illinois, USA - SEP 26, 2012
On tap at the brewpub in Little Rock, AR. Pours a cloudy, orange-gold colored body with a finger-width, frothy, off-white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is solid with a moderate spicing, some citrus fruits, a lightly sweetened bready malt backing, a touch of phenol, and a bit more pepper that comes out as this warms. Flavor is similar. Light peppery yeast and fruity citrus up front with a lightly sweetened bready malt backing. A hint of phenol, a bit of an increased pepper, and a very light grass as this finishes smooth, clean, somewhat fruity, and lightly bitter with a light spiciness. Fairly lengthy aftertaste following a medium-light body and a soft, moderate carbonation. Overall, a very pleasant surprise from Vino’s. Not overly complex and still served with a lame carbonation like the rest of their beers, but pretty tasty with no apparent flaws. Not bad at all.
