Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear dark brown color with a large frothy brown head. Good head retention. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, bitter coffee. The taste is coffee, roasted malts, sweet chocolate and a bitter hop finish. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness. Elwood (3336) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - APR 28, 2012
Serving: On cask at the brewpub. It pours a hazy dark brown with a creamy tan head. The nose oddly enough is best described as "beery" with sort of a non-descript beer smell. The flavor is raw and vegetal with notes of green apple skins, a strong green hop bitterness, alcohol, fusels, and a strong plastic flavor. Medium bodied with low carbonation and an odd bitter plastic finish. This brew is an absolute mess. I couldn’t even finish the glass.
