Tap at the brewpub. Hazy golden, small white head, great lacing. Aroma and taste hinted at wheat, with a bit of bubblegum and citrus. Tasty argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - APR 15, 2007
Clear dark amber body with beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, grapefruit/pine, caramel, light butterscotch. Taste is medium sweet, earthy/grapefruit, caramel. Light-medium body. Drake (13652) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 28, 2010
Served on draft at the brewpub on 10/20/10. Pours a hazy orange color with a large creamy white head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of citrus, earthy and herbal hops and pale malty notes. The taste is bitter leafy hops with some herbalness as well as some peach-like fruit notes. Fairly dry. Medium bodied. Good beer, but there’s something about it that doesn’t appeal to me. jcwattsrugger (12418) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - JUL 15, 2007
on tap-pours a white head and slightly hazy yellow color. Aroma is citrus hops. Taste is citrus hops-bitterness, some pine, secondary medium malt. OK carbonation. 3fourths (9331) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUL 4, 2007
5oz draft at the brewery. Clear and clean looking body, orange rust in color. Velvety, slick but supportive palate, wonderful texture overall, right about where I want a good, oiily, hoppy pale ale. Fresh, almost leafy, but more oily and slick like fresh SNPA is. Light grapefruit and sweet crisp lemon in the flavor, just the slightest bit dank. I really liked this beer, but at a warmer temperature I started to notice some diacetyl.

Sampled at Northern Virginia Brewfest.
Pours a hazy yellow color. Citrus and Hop aroma. Subtle and complex at the same time. Impressed with this one. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 23, 2009
On tap, at brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy dark gold body with a small white head. Citrusy hop nose with some light pale maltiness. The flavor is has a light floral and citrus hoppiness with fairly light bitterness on the finish. Clean pale malt base. Light to medium bodied with just a bit of doughy clinginess on the finish. OK, not great, but no flaws at least. maniac (3800) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - MAR 26, 2009
Growler from the brewpub courtesy of MaltDawg on 03/21/2009. Somewhat hazy copper amber body with a medium creamy off-white head. Sweet floral hop aroma with some fruity caramel hints. Dry grassy and floral hop flavor, some light caramel notes. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

Draft. Pours a hazy deep orange with a frothy white head. Heavy pine and citrus notes in the nose. You can definitely tell this is west coast style. Medium carbonation with a medium mouthfeel. Powerful hops with pine and citrus up front, followed by floral notes and a strong bitterness. Eventually a little orange and some sweetness from the malt are able to emerge. Long, bitter finish. You better like hops if you go for this brew! On the downside, there is a strong bitterness component similar to aspirin that makes it a bit much to session. jeffc666 (1984) - Fairfax, Virginia, USA - JUN 23, 2007
Lost and then re-found notes from Jan/Feb of 2007. Cloudy amber-gold with a pleasing white dense head. Aroma is quite hoppy with very little malt presence. Quite quaffable and could hold its own against some of the giants of this style.
