Draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear copper color with a thin creamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of big rye notes, earth, caramel, citrus, toasted malts. The taste is caramel and toasted malts with a big rye finish. Medium bodied. Nice beer. Elwood (3347) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - JUN 8, 2012
Serving: draft at the brewpub. It has a spicy tropical nose with a hint of sweet cherries. Pours a deep ruddy orange with a creamy tan head. The flavor has a little spicy rye with lots of pine, slight tropicals, and a slight balancing sweetness. As you drink it the bitterness builds on the tongue for a long finish. Nice brew worth trying for sure.
