Its a bit smoke/rubbery in the beginning. Like s,oked plastic or something. It has a fruity tartness and eventually the smoke is more malt-like. It is bad the first few sips but turns into a decent one. arkurzynski (2460) - Combined Locks, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 12, 2012
On tap at Sweet Mullets. Hazy red-brown in color. Nose of sweet wheat malt, light smoke, fruit/light banana esters. Flavor is wheat malt, acidic pear/apple, and salty smoke. Draft at Vintage. Unfiltered burgundy-brown, thin oily head. The firkin, however, has a steady creamy head. Sweet licorice and brown sugar aroma. Sweet, a little brutal on the alcohol. Doesn’t really nail the style, too acidic and alcohol laced. Lacks the bready, yeasty thickness. Sub par offering on a style I’m usually on board for.
