On tap at Vintage. Poured near black with a short-lived head. The aroma picked up up a thick dose of meaty cherries over semi-sweet chocolate and near-burnt black malts.. a little dark fruit crept in a times.. the cherry was a bit too much. The flavor found more syrupy cherries throughout (they definitely reduced ’em) with well-roasted, dry coffee, chocolate, and black malts supporting.. cherry pie filling kept coming back after the finish. Medium-bodied with low carbonation.. dry, yet sweet.. I liked the original stout more.
