Brown-black body, beige head. Buttery and sweet, tastes like they repitched some Capital yeast. Really quite disappointing after how well done the square pig was. Toasty graham cracker, caramel, chocolate, rye, buttery diacetyl. Not that enjoyable, not one I’d seek out or order again. Overly sweet.

On tap at Vintage Brewery as Crooked Grain, Crooked Grain. Dark brown with a creamy tan cap. Aroma of rye and citrus with grains and caramel. Taste of rye, citrus, nuts, caramel, light chocolate and a medium bitter finish.

Smells like Carmel. Huge aroma. Too much flavor. Almost tastes skunk but I know it isn't blah. This was poured from a keg at vintage brewing in Madison, WI.

Draft at the brewpub. Muddy, dark brown. Drinks with a super richness, rich with chocolate malt. There’s just a kiss of hops as the old commercial goes. OK. (#5130, 7/3/2013)

UPDATED: SEP 15, 2013 Tasted on tap at Vintage. Rich reddish brown with a thick yellowish head. Toffee aroma and a sweet malted holy rye taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Had it at on tap Vintage Brewery in Madison Wi. Poured a rich brown color yellow head and lasting lacing. Solid caramel aroma with a bitter malt flavor.

Tap @ Vintage with nuplastikk. Pours a brownish orange appearance with a cream colored head. Toasted grainy, a bit spicy, herbal, light citrusy flavor. Unfortunately, the flavor has some serious butter issues and it’s hard to get back past the diacetyl.

On tap at Vintage, pours a clear dark brownish amber with a tan head, the aroma is really nice, a good amount of citrus and fruit mixed in with a strong malt backbone with even a little bit of chocolate mixed in, the flavor has a nice hoppy front end with a malty finish, the finish is a little different but it works pretty well, nice stuff.
