On cask at Vintage Brewpub. Deep copper with no head presence. Aroma of mixed black and green pepper(corns) with malt, light fruit and a touch of yeast. Taste is kind overpowered by the peppercorns with salt, light ginger, mild fruit and a bit of yeast. Okay, but a bit overpowering. madvike (3292) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 27, 2012
On cask at Vintage Brewing - Pours dark ruby amber with a ring of off-white head. Nose is fruity and bready like regular Dedication, but the peppercorns give off a weird vegetal smell. I expected something more like black pepper. Taste is the same, but even weirder. The flavors don’t seem to meld well, add it’s a tad boozy. Slick and thick in the mouth. This one just didn’t work. cbfobes (2885) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - DEC 9, 2012
On cask at Vintage 12/9, pours a clear dark reddish brown with no head at all, the aroma very sweet with a lot of dark fruit and raisin with just a hint of the pepper, the flavor has a lot of the pepper in the finish and it really causes a dry finish, the sweet front end and the peppery finish is sure different, it almost works against each other, the booze comes through in the finish as well and it doesn’t seem as hidden as the original Dedication.
