On Tap at Big Barrel Tararrel 2013 at Vintage Brewpub. Chestnut with a very thin off-white crown. Aroma of rum, cherries, oak, raisons and other assorted dark fruits. Taste of cherries, chocolate, candi sugar, vanilla, oak, caramel and brown sugar. Smooth and sweet. cbfobes (2883) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - OCT 29, 2013
On tap at Dexters, left over from the Vintage tap take over, pours a dark clear amber with a thin head, the aroma was of straight rum and booze, a little bit of sweetness comes through but mostly booze, the flavor is extremely sweet with a ton of caramel and malt with a strong finish of booze, like Matt said, not only rum, but just a heavy alcohol like finish, this seriously tasted like it was 20%, not 10.5%. madvike (3264) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 19, 2013
On tap at the 2013 Big Barrel Tarrarel - Pours murky cola with a thin tan ring of head. Nose is boozy--it’s not so much rum as it is whiskey. Sweet and malty. Taste is really sweet and caramelly--not really run--just kind of a general spirit sweetness. Nice carbonation--smooth and med-bodied.
